Lots Of Fun!

I would recommend this to everyone, I have a disability that makes walking very painful. I toured SB for 3 hours with no pain, I didn't want to stop. This tour was alot of fun.

Segways are fun - Guide needs experience

None of us had been on a segway before and all of us found it easy to learn and very enjoyable. Unfortunately, our guide was relatively new and knew less than I did about Santa Barbara (and I'm from Florida). She was very nice and very attentive, but she needs to do some studying. She would benefit by taking an Old Town Trolley tour, herself. I doubt that she had ever been through the Presidio, which is central to the history and development of the area. She really needs to study a little and learn the material. Since you ride in single file, only the person directly behind the guide could hear anything. The organization would benefit by having headsets for the group (like the ones used at the Getty Villa) so the guide could narrate while traveling - if she knew anything. Overall, it was a lot of fun and to be recommended. I'm sure they have other guides who are more proficient.

What an exciting way to see Santa Barbara. Guide was very knowledgeable about area and segway travel covered much ground in relative ease. Highly recommend this activity for those who are able.

This was a great way to get everyone out of their comfort zone for a minute, and then quickly feel the satisfaction of riding!! we saw so much more of Santa Barbara then we would have in the car or on foot. It was well worth the price!! we all loved it, including our 2 young teenagers!

I (48) surprised my husband (50) and my college-age son (18) whom we were visiting on this trip by arranging for the Butterfly Beach tour. We had such a great time and it was fun to be able to do something active together across our age span. The machines are completely intuitive and really fun. Our feet got really tired on even this shorter 2-hour tour so this was just enough time for us. This particular tour has very few stops with lots of long stretches of travel where you can go all out, which I suspect might be more fun than the stop and go of some of the downtown tours if you care more about the ride (as we did) than about seeing all the Santa Barbara sites . I would highly recommend for anyone who wants to experience a Segway along a beautiful coastline.

Segway tour was wonderful. Historic aspect of the tour would have been better if I had more knowledge of the city.

My husband & I strong recommend the Butterfly Beach tour - we'd never ridden Segways before and it was so much fun. The instructions we received were perfect (about 10-15 minutes) and we felt totally comfortable once we headed out for the tour. We saw areas of Santa Barbara that we wouldn't have seen or known about without the tour and the oceanside path we took was absolutely beautiful. Our tour guide was very personable and knowledgeable and gave us some great tidbits and tips on the area. If we're ever back in the area, we'll definitely go back and can't wait to ride Segways again!

Extremely fun way to enjoy SB

My brother and his fiancée stopped in for 48 hrs from the UK. They were looking to experience the city with a twist of fun. The staff was welcoming and our guide was knowledgeable - and taught me more than a few things about the city I've called home for the past 10 years. Highly recommend this activity - learning to glide wasn't hard and our instruction was geared to our individual needs. This will now be a regular fixture on our Tour-de-Santa Barbara.

Jerry our leader was fantastic and the Segways were outrageously fun to zip around on. We travelled to many fantastic spots on a beautiful day, and even saw a whale blow in the harbor. Perfect way to see Santa Barbara and try something new.

A fun way to see the city!

My husband and I were in Santa Barbara on business but spent a few extra days for a vacation. I wanted to see some of the old buildings in the area and see what there was to do in Santa Barbara. I found the Segway Tour online and it had great reviews. We were able to see all of the historic spots on my list, plus we had fun learning to ride a Segway! We actually did two tours with Segway of SB and both were really great!

Really fun activity

I chose this activity as a way that my young adult son and I could 'bond' for a time. It's tough to find something we both would enjoy. It was perfect. Neither of us had done this before and it gave us something to look forward to and something to talk about afterwards. We live in a beach city an hour or so away so we chose the historical tour. It was great in that we really traveled through the city itself past the stores, the courthouse, residences and the gardens. It gave us a lot of variety to see and different terrain to cross with the segways. We still had a little time to ride by the beach as well. The tour stops broke up the concentration of riding and turning etc. It was informative. Still, the best part is riding. We liked the garden park best. Just watch out for the water. I almost became the first in history to fall in! Anyhow, it was a wonderful day. I highly recommend this adventure. The cost seems pricey and add to that a well deserved tip for the guides, but in the end, you've had a new experience that keeps you smiling. It's well worth it.
