| We got to Segway SB 15 minutes before the start time to take some pointers from "Bill" on how to ride. My son and I picked up on the tecnique of riding a Segway pretty fast (I'm 62 years old). Soon we were scooting around the premises before the beginning of our well-led tour (about 2 hours). Bill led the tour as well. We both had a great time seeing Santa Barbara from another perspective. We have already recommended the tour to family and friends. We'd do it again in a heartbeat!!! Sincerely, Dr. William R. Thomas | ||||||

| Fun outdoor activity for people of various ages. The Segway is an interesting piece of technology and is fascinating to ride. It is hard to believe that it works as well as it does. | ||||||

| The tour started with individual training on the Segway i2, which my wife picked up quite rapidly (I already had an hour in St Petersburg, Florida the week before) and then we were off, gently at first, up State Street toward the old center of the town. Our guide was friendly, informative, and always polite to the pedestrians we passed - he had to remind one motorist that he shouldn't do a right on red right into us, we were in the bicycle lane with a green light-but perhaps that's how that gentleman treated cyclists too! Then off the main street and into the ancient center - on streets, through alleyways and at one point right through an indoor passageway! - the ease of control and ability to not annoy the walkers was great. The downtown parks, so well explained, history as well as botany, and a bit of "all-terrain" across the park. The 2 1/2 hours were over all too soon. A really fun way to see more of a town up close, without the problem of walking at the pace of the slowest in the group. Only downer - Segway Santa Barbara has an insurance policy that insists on helmets being worn. That needs to be changed to one where you can sign a waiver, as they have in Florida - the helmet was tougher and heavier than the ones used even for horse riding - uncomfortable, unnecessary (the Segway is so easy to control and stop) and intrusive. | ||||||

| Our family of 4 took the Segway Santa Barbara tour in late August 2007. They have the latest Segways. The training was patient and simple; the Segway is pretty easy to use after about 15 minutes of instruction. Our trainer was Bill, who was very good. Our tour guide was Alfredo, who gave us a great short tour of Santa Barbara highlights, including the Court House, the Presidio and Keck Memorial Park. The tour was very safe and doing a tour on the Segway was more personal and involved than going on a tour bus. We enjoyed the Segway tour and recommend it. The Visitors' Center on Cabrillo Drive offers a 10% discount coupon. | ||||||

| The "pre" training was very adequate. But the Segway experience is fabulous!! I want one now. THe tour of SB was very good, and the guide knew the history well. I will DEFINITELY go back to rent a Segway to zip around the area and explore a little more on my own. Highly recommend. | ||||||

| Our class started at 2pm and we were on the road about 2:30. We returned at 3:25pm. I was under in impression that we were to return at 4pm, having an hour and a half ride. I did not say anything about the shortened ride but I feel that we were cheated. We did Butterfly Beach which was very nice, I'm sure there is a way to add the time. | ||||||

| My Husband and I really enjoyed the Mission Tour. We were tired when we finished but happy! The segways are super easy to learn how to ride...took about 2 minutes to figure out. We have been to Santa Barbara often as we live in LA, but we learned a lot about local history we did not know. We recommend Sunday afternoon as you can do the Art Walk along the beach and then do the the segway tour. Also there is more parking available on Sunday as many streets allow all day free street parking as the rules don't apply to Sunday! | ||||||

| This was truly a magnificent, fantastically incredible, experience for the three teachers from Orange County California. I was looking for some adventure for us when I found Zerve on the Internet. At first I was skeptical because it advertises "world's best activities". I just wanted something local. I soon found out that Zerve is all that it advertises and more. Everyone was very patient with us in the learning process. It turned out to be quite easy to learn how to ride the Segway. A tour of Santa Barbara on a Segway is the only way!! We had such a grand time that we plan on returning in the very near future with our husbands. | ||||||

| The Segway's are as easy to ride as they seem. We had never touched one before our visit. We took the self guided tour and the staff did an excellent job of teaching us how to ride in the first half hour. We got to ride another hour on our own along the well planned bike paths that parallel the Santa Barbara beaches and marinas. Our whole family enjoyed the novelty while the general public was envious. If you take the tour, be prepared; everyone will ask where you got those from and how much is it. Santa Barbara is a beautiful coastal town and this method of transport allows you to see things you would otherwise miss on a bus or in your rental car. We highly recommend this experience. Our children are seventeen so you should enquire about the age and or height limit before renting. Family of 4 Charleston, SC | ||||||

| We were celebrating our 30th anniversary and had been planning our trip for several months. We had always wanted to travel on a Segway, but had not gotten the opportunity until this tour. The Segway tour was truly a capstone activity. Jerry and JoAnne provided excellent training which instilled the confidence we needed to enjoy our ride. By the time we returned to the Segway shop, we had gone more places and seen far more than we could have ever imagined at the start of the training process. The tour was exciting and interesting. We could get as close to every area as we wanted because of the freedom the Segway provides. We highly recommend this activity. It is an adventurous way to see beautiful Santa Barbara! | ||||||

| Both fun and informative, we were met at the door by name by our guide, got brief training and practice time and were off on our adventure. Our guide was very knowledgable and friendly. The biggest problem we encountered was a lack of parking. The tour was 2-1/2 hours and most nearby parking was 90 minute max. Directions took you right to the building but not where to park. After our tour, we walked to a local resturant suggested by our guide and had an excellent meal. Overall we were very pleased and were smiling all the way home. | ||||||

| My husband, grown son & I signed up for the 2 hour Santa Barbara tour on the segway. I was very nervous at first, but during the instructional session, the tour guide & assistant were very supportive, patient & helpful. By the time we got out on the streets, I felt much more confident & had a fabulous time. We covered a lot of ground, learned a lot about the history of Santa Barbara & just had a great time. I strongly recommend this tour. If I can do it, so can you!! | ||||||

| This tour takes you along the beautiful beaches in Santa Barbara. It is not as challenging as other Santa Barbara Segway tours and is great for the first time Segway user. This is the second tour we have taken with Santa Barbara Segway and plan to tour with them in the future. Our tour guide, Trish, was very professional and very knowledgeable of the area. She provides about a half hour of training before beginning the tours which gives the Segway user confidence in the vehicle. This is really a great way to see the beautiful city of Santa Barbara and we highly recommend it. | ||||||
