Fun But Be Careful

| The tour was great! It was fun and the guide was easy going, intelligent and helpful.
My only criticism is that it needs to be made EXTREMELY clear to people not to get too close to others because of the potential for the Segway wheels to lock, which caused an accident and broken bone during my experience.
People have a tendancy to relax and ride up to others after a while, but they needed to be watched and reminded not to get to close and to pay attention at all times. |

| Neither my husband nor I had ever been on a Segway or anything like it before. The learning curve to ride one is very short. With the help of the moderators, we learned in a matter of minutes how to ride and operate one.
The moderators were very friendly and helpful. The Segways were so-o-o much fun. I would recommend this tour to anyone. We plan to take more Segway tours in other places as the opportunity presents itself. |

| I had never ridden a Segway before and this was a lot orf fun. although I have lived in the Richmond area for 36 years, I learned a lot of local history. |

| This was my first, and potentially only, trip to Richmond. I am working here for two weeks, and was in the town for the weekend in between. Having taken a segway tour in Raleigh, North Carolina, I was really excited to have found this one, especially given the history of Richmond, besides the fact that riding the segways is so much fun. =)
I wasn't disappointed with the segway riding (and our tour guide-Trent-definitely liked to open them up and go faster). However, I was a little disappointed at the tour. Having picked up the brochure early in the week, I had an idea that we were going to see a number of places. But I would say we maybe saw five of the 15 or so places listed on the brochure (or maybe I did see more, but didn't know because it wasn't pointed out).
All in all, it was still fun, but I expected a lot more "tour" than I got. |

| Considering I was with my dad (late 50's) and he was a bit scared of getting out of his comfort zone and getting on "that thing", after 45 minutes, it's as if he'd been riding a Segway for years. Either that, or the granny that was part of the group made him realize that he could do it too! Tony, our guide, was incredible, patient and very knowledgable. I would definetly recommend this tour for everybody. After showing some pictures to friends, they asked me what city I was in....and they are NATIVE to Richmond! Goes to show that people really don't know how much Richmond has to offer. The Segway tours are, by far, an 'out-of-the-box' and innovative way to get to know the city and create some awesome memories! |

| We did the tour in the pouring rain and we still had a blast. Tony, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun to be around. The guys in the store were just as pleasant. I would highly recommend this tour. |

| My wife and I and our two daughters (ages 18 and 29) recently took the historic Richmond downtown tour on Segways. Our guide was Tony. We had a BLAST! For all of us, learning was so easy - in five minutes we were old pros. This was one of the best things that we have ever done as a family. We learned a lot about the history of Richmond and had a ball doing it. Our two hour tour flew by and we covered a lot of ground. If we had walked instead of using the Segways we would have been exhausted. Now all of us want to take the Hollywood Cemetary Tour on the Segways. |

| Three seconds was difficult, but after that I felt it was ok. I felt good, and I think I did this before. The segway was perfect to look the center of the city in a different way, and my wife and I enjoyed the tour. |

| Riding a Segway is great fun and easier than it looks. After a few quick instructions and a little practice we toured the town. We saw several interesting site we most likely would not have seen on our own. The tour also included a couple of stops to just ride around and enjoy the Segway. We can't wait for our next visit to Richmond and do it again. |

| Getting used to the Segway took no time at all, and the staff made sure we were all comfortable with the equipment prior to starting the tour. The Guide was well informed and led us all around town, including several areas that were "off the beaten path". Our group consisted of three adults, and we all had a GREAT time!
I highly recommend the Segway Tour as a great way to see the city ... plus you get to ride a Segway! :-) |
