This was my first visit to New York and wanted to go shopping but did not want to go by myself so I signed up for the shopping tour. We were taken to a variety of Designer shops that included purses, clothes, jewelry, coats, furs and scarves. The variety of shops we were taken to allowed me to purchase something in almost every store that I probably would never have accomplished in the amount of time we shopped if I had been on my own and the fact that we were able to save money was a plus. I purchased my first article of fur which I never imagined I would own. The only negative about the tour is that I wish we had spent more time in each store so that I could really browse without feeling rushed before we went on to the next store (I like to browse before making decisions on anything). Other than that, I would reommend the tour. Our guide was very helpful and informative. Thank you. |

My teenage daughter and I had a great deal of fun and found equal values. She was skeptical of the tour and ended up enjoying it tremendously. We found some great deals and unique items. Adreanne our tour guide was wonderful! |

I had never taken a tour of any kind alone, but while my husband was in meetings I thought this seemed an interesting thing to do while in NYC. We went to 5 showrooms and 1 sample sale, each offering completely different items. I was ready for some spending, thought the selections were absolutely fabulous and walked away with a jacket, pair of pants, costume jewelry, 2 very cute tops and even a coat.. all at wholesale prices. Showrooms for the most part are not terribly glamerous, but who cares. We met a couple of the designers and that made us appreciate the goods even more and furthered the experience. The guide was wonderful! and imparted lots of tidbits including who was at the Bryant Park shows that day so that we could try to "sneak a peek" after the tour. If it helps any readers, our group was comprised of women in their 30's and 40's and 2 teens, and there seemed to be good selections at most places for everyone. A NYC experience worth trying! |

A true shoponista would not like this tour, because as someone who shops all the time I was looking for a wow factor. Unfortunately I did not find it because the merchandise that were put out for sample sales look like something from a rummage sale. They looked old and look like someone returned them. I get it that they may have been last seasons but who wants to shop for something that the majority of the public did not want or not deemed very fashionable. Also the sizes were so limited. Most of the ladies in our group were size 8 to 14 and majority of the stuff were sizes 2-6. I recommend any traveler to stay away from this particular tour and maybe find someone who lives in NY and take you around or venture out on your own to the most fashionable spots (e.g. Soho, Greenwich Village or Brooklyn). The money spent there would not be that much compared to the designer sample sales this tour offers. |

This is the second time I took this tour, and it's a great way to get some really unique pieces that I would not otherwise be able to afford (or even find). I especially appreciated the attention from many of the design showrooms, who helped me and the rest of the group find the styles that would work best for us.
Highly recommend for all age groups (or more specifically, female adults, since that is who they showrooms cater to)! |

We did this as part of a mother/daughter trip to New York and it was fantastic! The stores change every time, but we visited a wide enough variety of places that we both came away with several shopping bags and recommendations for other places to stop by. Both a 20-something and a 50-something were able to find clothes and accessories that suited at all of the locations, and the rest of our tour group seemed just as happy.
BRING CASH! At least twice as much as you think you might want to spend, because you will spend it.
Amy the tour guide was wonderful, very knowledgeable about the stores and tried to make the shopping tour beneficial to everyone.
Definitely would recommend, but don't bring your (male) significant others - they'll end up staring at a wall while all the women get changed in the other corner of the store. |

I enjoyed this tour as it provided me with a lot of information about the fashion industry in New York City. It was a terrific way of beginning a shopping week-end with my daughter and if I had not taken the tour I would probably not have even considered browsing through the Garment District. Most of the designer warehouses that we visited had limited samples of clothes that were available for purchase and many of those were in small sizes but all in all there was something for everyone and our tour operator was so informative not only about this area but she provided us with an itinerary of shopping that we could explore on our own in other areas of the city. In addition if you are looking for fabric or accessory trims and buttons and things you definately should go to the Garment District. |

I was really excited about this tour, but it seems there wasn't much. You can easily walk around Fashion Avenue and there are lots of people handing out brochures on sample sales going on at the time. You could also probably hop online and figure it all out yourself. There were a couple of showrooms we visited, but not much stock. Most people hardly bought anything, and the pics on the tour webpage are definitely misleading. |

Our group of eight friends enjoyed our guide, Julie, and our inside look at the garment district on our shopping tour. We were able to purchase some clothing and accessories at fabulous prices and get a behind the scenes look at the clothing business. |
