Garment Center Insider Shopping Tour (For Women)

Found this interesting and loved our tour guide Christine but thought most of the clothes were way too old and conservative. "For Joseph" was the only stop we made where I liked the styles, and I am 59! The jewelry stop was fun because of the woman telling the stories about the different pieces. And we loved being able to stop in Mood and buy our canvas totes! So, all in all we enjoyed it but your clothes stops need to be geared toward younger and more casual styles. If you did that, the tour would be great!

My daughter is 23 and we were in NY for a girls trip. I wanted to experience the garment district and go bargin shopping at sample sales. We had so much fun and while not every stop had clothing that we were interested in, about half of them did. We bought lots of great things and got a real sense of that part of town. Our guide was very helpful and did everything she could to make it a great experience.

Myself [ 54 ] , daughter [ 24 ] and daughter-in-law took the shopping tour in the garment district. After spending 4 days shopping, we were'nt very excited to go on a shopping tour! But what a successful trip it was! Our guide was awesome and had loads of information, including suggesting some places to go after in other areas. We went to six very different designer showrooms.which had a varied selection of products and each of us found lots of things. I would reccomend it.

We enjoyed our tour with ShopGotham. Our guide, Christina, was more than helpful and enthusiastic and even gave us ideas of places to visit and other shops to find in the city for good buys/specific things we were looking for. I was expecting a bit more of a "tour" than what we encountered. For the most part, the 5 stops we made were to shop off-the- rack designer items which were a bit short on sizes and selection as well. We were actually thinking we would be taking a tour of at least one or two designer offices and work sites but that really wasn't included at any of the stops. That would have been a nice complement to the shopping excursions.

My 19 year old daughter and I went on the shopping tour and we both loved it. We enjoyed it so much that the next time we are in New York City we plan on going again. Our hostess was great! All the designers were so friendly and very helpful. Thank you for a great experience!

Ended up with just me and the tour guide. Very informative.

This is a fun and fabulous tour where you can get lots of unique and fashionable clothing!

+ Christina was a very knowledgeable tour guide, enthusiastic and quickly responded to many changes during the day, even a designer going into labor! + The shops were very interesting, and well organized + I found each one had items both within my price range and within my dream range + My one fear was that the staff would be 'pushy sales,' but that did not occur. You can buy it all, or buy none of it. + Just looking at the racks was a lot of fun for me; I stayed within my budget for the day, but came home with a piece of jewelry, a short trench, and a cute skirt. + I plan to take this tour again, when I am back in the City.

There were 5 women in our group and 3 of the 5 (including me) are plus sized. There was nothing for us to shop for other than a small amount of jewellery and some heavy, fur trimmed coats. We were disappointed, because we were in New York to shop. The designers need to realize there's a whole untapped market out there of plus sized women. We're not all size 2. The tour guide (I believe her name was Molly) was wonderful. A very pleasant, easy-going and understanding young lady.

I enjoyed seeing the designer showrooms and the fashions. The 3 hour tour passed by very quickly, leaving some of us wanting to see more. After the tour I wandered the Fashion District for another 2 hours. I never saw anything close to the access our tour provided. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable. I will definitely consider your other tours!
