| I took my 16 year old daughter, who is interested in in a career as a Fashion Designer. I thought the tour helped to give her to a more realistic glimse of what a career in fashion might look like. Even though the showrooms lacked the glits and glammer that she is use to seeing on TV, she really enjoyed it. We both found a few bargins. However, I don't feel that the savings offset the cost of the tour. Samples ranged from $20 (scarfs) to $300 (high end winter coats). Although our guide was adequate, I would have preferred a guide that had more knowledge of the fashion industry. Overall though, I thought that the tour was worth while and suited our needs. |

| This is a fabulous and very fun insider shopping tour of the garment district. We bought great clothing and got good information about the manufacturing of designer clothes and accessories. We were fortunate to get Marla, the owner of the company, as our guide, and she was fun, lively, informative and brutally honest when we tried on clothes (always good to have!!).
Two suggestions: a few of our group members had large breasts, and were disappointed that many of the clothes didn't fit or look great on them. The largest size available seemed to be 8. I would suggest letting tour members know this in advance. The second suggestion would be to include more accessory show rooms -- maybe shoes and bags show rooms? This would also help the purchasing power of women who don't wear size 0 - 8 clothing.
Overall, however, this is a tour that is well worth it and definitely recommended!!! |

| My friend and I really enjoyed the Garment District Tour.
I think this tour is very good for learning about the history of the area and we were able to go into designer workshops not available to the public.
We both were able to find a perfect trench coat at less than 1/2 price.

| I had a good time on this tour. Our guide was very friendly and took us to about seven or eight different showrooms. I'm a petite woman (size 0-2), so I was able to find a lot of samples that fit me. I even bought a Vera Wang evening gown for only $75. |

| My sister and myself tried to do the garment district and samples sales on our own a year ago and were very disappointed. We had Marla take us to places we would have never known about before and she also gave us information on the history of the district as we went from one designers showroom to another. We bought and found more than we had bargained for!
Even if you only going to look this tour is worth going on, I will be going on it on my next trip to New York for sure. |

| I enjoyed seeing the designer showrooms and the fashions. The 3 hour tour passed by very quickly, leaving some of us wanting to see more. After the tour I wandered the Fashion District for another 2 hours. I never saw anything close to the access our tour provided. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable. I will definitely consider your other tours! |

| We enjoyed our tour with ShopGotham. Our guide, Christina, was more than helpful and enthusiastic and even gave us ideas of places to visit and other shops to find in the city for good buys/specific things we were looking for. I was expecting a bit more of a "tour" than what we encountered. For the most part, the 5 stops we made were to shop off-the- rack designer items which were a bit short on sizes and selection as well. We were actually thinking we would be taking a tour of at least one or two designer offices and work sites but that really wasn't included at any of the stops. That would have been a nice complement to the shopping excursions. |

| + Christina was a very knowledgeable tour guide, enthusiastic and quickly responded to many changes during the day, even a designer going into labor!
+ The shops were very interesting, and well organized
+ I found each one had items both within my price range and within my dream range
+ My one fear was that the staff would be 'pushy sales,' but that did not occur. You can buy it all, or buy none of it.
+ Just looking at the racks was a lot of fun for me; I stayed within my budget for the day, but came home with a piece of jewelry, a short trench, and a cute skirt.
+ I plan to take this tour again, when I am back in the City. |
