SoHo and NoLita Shopping Tour

This was my second shopping tour with Shop Gotham and I enjoyed myself so much that I have now purchased tickets for my two college age girls coming to nyc soon. They like to shop even more than me. The group seems to always be about 8 people, small enough that the guide can attend to us all. In Soho, we visited alot of very charming shops and had enough time in a couple of them to do some real purchasing. The guide came prepared with sale information and took us to the one she felt was best of the group. I think the designer was VENA CAVA.. a bit edgy, but i loved it,. There was ample walking, which living in Fla., I enjoy, and the ending at the "market" is brilliant, as one could spend a whole day there. This tour is fundamentally different than the garment district, but I enjoyed them both equally. Post note: Both guides I have had are utterly wonderful. thumbs up Shop Gotham. Alex

I TOOK FRIENDS ON THIS TOUR HAVING NEVER BEEN ON IT BEFORE. I WASNT SURE WHAT TO EXPECT. THERE WERE A FEW STORES WE COULD ACTUALLY SHOP IT HOWEVER MOST STORES WHERE HIGHER END. THE TOUR GUIDE WAS NICE BUT DIDNT SEEM AS KNOWLEGEABLE. I ENJOYED A FEW OF THE STORES BUT IT JUST SEEMED TO BE LACKING AS COMPARED TO OTHER TOURS.

and I plan to recommend this tour to other friends.

Fabulous, fun, funny, great clothes

My 17 year old daughter and I had fun. The guide pointed out stores for the "different ages". We walked and walked went in for a few minutes and were able to go back to our favorites. We would not have know about these other streets. Recommended to those new to the area.

You got to visit many stores to get a quick view of what they have to offer. I recommend reserving the rest of the afternoon to go back and actually take your time to look around and make your purchases. Many stores will offer a discount.

This was my second Shop Gotham tour I took and enjoyed it as much as the first. We explored some very cool boutiques in Soho, which is exactly what I was hoping for. The time sped by: I only wish there had been more. Highly recommend .. again!

My daughter (15) and I went on this tour hoping to learn a bit about Soho and see some boutiques. We thought we would learn some history of the area, something about the architecture, or hear some stories. Unfortunately our guide was not knowledgable and had little to share. We left after the 4th stop. We had stopped at one store that was in the process of being remodeled and then went to a taxadermy store (not exactly boutique shopping). Our guide said she was new and was a nanny during the week (our tour was on Saturday). Once we left we saw much more on our own. I have taken tours in San Francisco, Chicago, Rome, Paris, Florence, Venice and London. Never have I experienced a guide with so little to add. Look elsewhere.

The shopping aspect was not the highlight of the tour. We did not see many stores. It was nice to walk around and see the area. Our tour guide was wonderful. I just feel that the tour itself is dull.

Our guide - Stacy - was new to the experience and so were we. She had done her "homework" and was well p[repared. Because we were a group of 3 (grandparents and grandaughter) Stacy was able to tailor the excursion to our own particular needs and interests. We enjoyed it ------- Elizabeth
