SoHo and NoLita Shopping Tour

Our tour guide Melanie was vivacious and well informed about the area. We even made an unscheduled stop at an Artist's market. Would have appreciated some guidance on places to eat post tour.

The guide did an excellent job with me and my two daughters (15&12). Very informative and helpful with information about what to do shopping wise outside the tour.

My 15 year old granddaughter had never been to NY before, so we needed to cover a lot of territory in a short time and this tour really helped accomplish that. I was somewhat familiar with the area, but the guides were very helpful and they added a lot of "colorful" details to the tour.

Took my 18 and 22 year old daughters. They were very excited and was to be the highlight of the trip. They were both disappointed by the selection of stores visited. Also the advertised discount was not good in the stores they would have bought something in. We had better luck just wondering on our own.

This was a great, personal introduction to Soho/ Nolita that I would never have discovered on my own. Our guide Christina was terrific - fun, energetic, personable and full of historical information and even celebrity gossip tidbits.. And of course the shops! She introduced us to those tasty little boutiques off the main path that only a true local girl would know. To cover as much ground as possible we only dropped into each for a few minutes - just enough time to decide if we wanted to visit on our own later. It was a great way to spend a couple of hours and I highly recommend it!!

My dad bought this ticket for me so that I could go shopping while visiting him in New York. We called the company and they were nice enough to even let him tag along. First, let me say that the guide was AMAZING.She was fun & cool and we really enjoyed getting to know her. I was the youngest person on the tour and she took me to specific stores she knew i would like, while she took the other ladies to different places. She even suggested i go to a Japanese toy store when I mentioned i was a collector. I bought several great items which I love! and really had a great time. I will encourage my friends to take this tour when they visit New York.

I had once done a similar program in Rome . Never really intending to do this in NYC, but found myself with some time alone and after a quick search for something to do, I booked the Soho tour. It was fun, really fun. I'm not a quick decision maker, so it was more of a look-see morning for me. Our guide was a blast, the stores were a really fantastic assortment and even the other people on the tour made it enjoyable. I DO recommend.

I'm hearing all of these great reviews, and I don't know if it was our tour guide or what. I took my daughter and 3 of her friends for her 13th birthday. We got there and our tour guide asked if we had anywhere in particular we wanted to go and our price range. We thought that she would take these things into consideration, but she obviously didn't. The girls said that they saw a lot of stores in Soho that they wanted to see. She said that Nolita was more for adults, and she had other adults coming on the tour so she would have to "juggle", even though we had bought 9 out of the 13 tickets and were only using 5 of them. She took us to Nolita, and pointed out a few things, then said meet here in 30 minutes. So obviously we were going to go to the places she picked out and they were all TERRIBLE! They didn't meet age, price, or even style. By the next time we separated, the girls were begging me to ditch the tour and go to Soho. I spent a lot of money on the tour so I said no. We stayed in Nolita, going to these really bad shops. The girls were begging the guide to go to Soho the whole time, but finally, we went. 15 minutes before our tour ended. We raced to one of the many stores the girls said they wanted to go to in Soho, not allowing the girls to go into any shops in between. She dropped us off there, and said "Thank you bye." So basically this was not a tour of Soho and Nolita, it was a tour of Nolita. She didn't point out any discounts like the website said she would. My daughter ended up crying all the day the next day (yes, her birthday) because she was so excited to go New York and had an awful time. If your planning on going to New York, stick to the fun stuff in Times Square, or at least do not use Shop Gotham tours.

The guide was able to tell us fun facts about the area and was able to cover a lot of ground in 2.5 - 3 hours. I would do an other tour the next time im in town.
