tour guide nice but inept

| I was travelling from Toronto with my sister & two nieces, ages 16 7 20.I have been to NYC many times, it was their first .Normally I would not take a tour but it sounded novel.Our guide Ennis was a lovely person & really tried her best but she didn't have the personality or the skills. Our group was larger than the 12 that the ad mentioned as a limit. this could have been handled better by someone more savy .Ennis needed to be better organized with time limits in stores & with direction.So much time was wasted waiting around ,very tedious,.. ennis had no control.Yes this wasn't supposed to be a boot camp, it just wasn;t any fun. I think the guide should take cues from the group & have some high energy or personality.Sadly this was not Ennis. | ||||||

| The tour needs to better explain its content to potential customers. I believed that I would be visiting places that only knowledgable locals know about where discount designer and imported, quality woman's clothes would be available for sale. Instead, we basically saw Sweat Shops with extremely poor quality goods for sale. | ||||||

| I took my 16 year old daughter, who is interested in in a career as a Fashion Designer. I thought the tour helped to give her to a more realistic glimse of what a career in fashion might look like. Even though the showrooms lacked the glits and glammer that she is use to seeing on TV, she really enjoyed it. We both found a few bargins. However, I don't feel that the savings offset the cost of the tour. Samples ranged from $20 (scarfs) to $300 (high end winter coats). Although our guide was adequate, I would have preferred a guide that had more knowledge of the fashion industry. Overall though, I thought that the tour was worth while and suited our needs. | ||||||

| I would highly recommend this tour. I am a college junior majoring in retail, it gave me insights as to what to expect when I graduate, not to mention I got some really high end clothing for next to nothing. | ||||||

| My 17 year old daughter and I enjoyed the shopping trip. The tour guide was pleasant , helpful and eager to please everyone in the group. Surprisingly, there wasn't a large selection in our size (size 0-2). Everyone said that most samples come in the tiny sizes. If you are a size small , medium, 6-8 the selection was greater. I found a lovely designer skirt and a necklace. My daughter found a blouse and 2 pieces of jewelry. We went to a few sample sales that were suggested outside of the tour. We found a load of discounted drug store cosmetics (Almay). I would like to see the tour include more stores and variety like handbags and shoes. (Several stores only allowed you to shop off certain racks). Even though we live in New Jersey and visit the city often, we enjoyed getting the inside scoop of the garment district. | ||||||

| I LOVED this tour. First of all, my group did not realize it would be more of a personal shopping expedition. We thought it was more of an informative session about sample sales and we were very pleasantly surprised. It was so much fun at the different sample sales and sold me on the whole sample sale idea. Our tour guide was also fantastic. She was fun, personable, and really helpful with information regarding the fashion industry. Also, she was great at getting us all from sale to sale. My sister and I absolutely loved this tour. | ||||||

| We enjoyed the shopping tour. It was nice to see these different areas; much quieter than downtown Manhatten. I must agree with others that most of the stores were high priced on this tour and they tried to fit in alot of stores so there wasn't much time to really buy anything. On the up side of this, we were given a list of the stores and the discount if any that they were offering and we could go back to the ones of our choice. All in all a good day. | ||||||

| My girlfriend and I made our second trip to the Big City and had not really ventured to lower Manhattan. This is a great tour if you want to see some really fun unique little shops. The only problem with this tour was there were a couple of ladies who thought this was their personal shopping trip and held the tour up by trying on clothes at every store. Since the shopping is primarily in a small section of Soho/Nolitta there should have been a time limit in each store. There was a lot of waiting for people who were shopping, they really should have gone back after the tour to do the trying on and purchasing. At one point in time our group was in 3 different groups all because of a couple of people (the same ones at each store). I would definitely do it again but going into the tour would make sure there were time limits on each store. | ||||||

| We had such a great time on our shopping tour. Judy, our tour guide was amazing, so nice, very knowledgeable and patient with some of the slower shoppers. I highly recommend this trip. It was so nice and a great way to see a totally different section of New York. SoHo was beautiful. I will definitely return there again to shop. Actually, I may take this exact same tour again it was so fun. You get so much for the price! I highly recommend this tour!!! | ||||||

| My 19 year old daughter and I went on the shopping tour and we both loved it. We enjoyed it so much that the next time we are in New York City we plan on going again. Our hostess was great! All the designers were so friendly and very helpful. Thank you for a great experience! | ||||||

| What an experience, we were able to meet the designers and see many aspects of the garment district. This was the best tour I have been on. Our tour guide Crystal was well informed and made this tour wonderful. | ||||||

| You get to find out alot of new information about New York and get to visit some of the greatest stores in Soho and Nolita. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to have a good time. | ||||||

| The Garment District tour was fun. The designers we spoke with were very interesting, and everyone in our group found great deals at the sample sales. It would have been an added plus if our tour guide had given the history of the area. | ||||||
