| The garment district tour provided an interesting insider look at the fashion industry and the guide was full of info on what goes in behind the scenes. There are some great deals to be had if you are the right size, be prepared to try a lot of stuff on because many samples aren't sized. Bring cash because while there are plenty of deals, there are high-end show rooms on the tour as well and great quality items though 1/4 of the price are still several hundred dollars. One draw back - the sale we were most looking forward to had a line around the block and therefore our tour skipped over it and no other accessories (shoes, handbags) were to be had in the other show rooms - quite disappointing. Overall still worth it if you are intersted in fashion and getting pieces no one else has. | ||||||

| The shops we toured were very unique, our guide was friendly, enthusiastic and pointed out many interesting facts about Soho. It was a beautiful day to spend outside and the shop owners were very warm and friendly and helpful. We can't wait to go back! | ||||||

| This shopping tour way a wonderful way of finding some of the hidden gems of SOHO and NOLITA. The guide was very knowledgeable and freindly and made the experience a truly enjoyable one. I will definitely recommend this tour and participate again. | ||||||

| If you want shopping that the average person can't experience then the Gothem Shopping Experience is for you. We went to knooks and cranny's all over the fashion district on Manhattan. We bought things at severely discounted prices....like a sweater sold at Anthropology for $30; a pair of designer jeans sold in better department stores for $5; an imported sequined nicer evening top sold at Neiman's for $300 for only $75.....I mean this tour is definately worth the money. I recommend it to any and all. | ||||||

| My 22 year old daughter and I took a girls trip to New York. We had no idea of what to expect on this tour and I must say we were pleasantly surprised. Christina, our guide, was great. She was informative, helpful and just a lot of fun. I would highly recommend this to anyone. It was a great way to see places that we would have never seen, get great deals on designer clothes and have a lot of fun looking. Thanks for making our trip a wonderful experience. | We were given oppurtunities to visit design showrooms and purchase directly from them, something that is not available to the public. It was a lot of fun, and our guide was not only knowledgable about the showrooms we were visiting, she also pointed out the sites as we were walking about. We had a great time. | ||||||

| While the guide was wonderful, I was disappointed in the stores--not much for us to choose from. The one store where they did the demo on the skirt--workers were rude. We were to attend two sample salels; neither store would let us in. | ||||||

| The tour was fantastic and perfect for me and my girlfriends. We have all been curious about sample sales and the fashion world tucked away within the buildings of the Fashion District. It completely indulged the fashionista-wannabes within us. And boy, did we shop! | ||||||

| I enjoyed this tour as it provided me with a lot of information about the fashion industry in New York City. It was a terrific way of beginning a shopping week-end with my daughter and if I had not taken the tour I would probably not have even considered browsing through the Garment District. Most of the designer warehouses that we visited had limited samples of clothes that were available for purchase and many of those were in small sizes but all in all there was something for everyone and our tour operator was so informative not only about this area but she provided us with an itinerary of shopping that we could explore on our own in other areas of the city. In addition if you are looking for fabric or accessory trims and buttons and things you definately should go to the Garment District. | ||||||

| We enjoyed our tour. We got to see a working showroom and current pieces being marketed to buyers. It was a good overview and something we wouldn't have been able to do on our own. Several of the showrooms were geared towards older women so my daughter was a bit disappointed. It would have been nice to be able to choose a tour designed for 15-25 year olds. There seemed to be something that appealed to everyone on the tour, so that was nice. My daughter enjoyed the warehouse with the prom dresses. One of the locations we visited was open to the public, so it wasn't anything special getting to go in. | ||||||

| My sisters,16 year old niece, and I took the garment district tour on March 28. We had a wonderful experience! Marla, our guide, was like having an insider friend show you around town. She was funny, personabIe and knew a lot about the garment district. I was excited to get into designer showrooms and actually meet some of the designers we know by labels. My niece said afterwards that she hadn't thought she would actually get cool stuff - she came away with 3 prom dresses ($30 each - a steal), tops and accessories. We all found bargains that we loved! There was something for everyone - but no pressure to buy. We saw a lot in 3 hours! It would've been a fun tour w/o buying a thing! Marla helped our whole group capture the charm and experience of the fashion district! She gave us plenty of time to shop, but knew when to move on to the next place - quite a feat given the variety of our group - 3 college students, a young woman, 1 teen and 6 middle age women. She even told us NOT to buy a pair of jeans that had writing on them - she said it wouldn't come out in the wash! This tour is definitely a "must" when you visit NYC. We are looking forward to booking the Soho Nolita tour when we return. I have only been back 2 days and have already recommended this tour to many of my friends! | ||||||

| My daughters and I had a great time on the tour. Christina was very friendly and knowledgable. She really tried to help each participant find items they could purchase. We found some great deals and found out more about the fashion industry. Something both my daughters are interested in. We are looking forward to doing the SOHO shopping outing on our next trip to New York. | ||||||
