| + Christina was a very knowledgeable tour guide, enthusiastic and quickly responded to many changes during the day, even a designer going into labor! + The shops were very interesting, and well organized + I found each one had items both within my price range and within my dream range + My one fear was that the staff would be 'pushy sales,' but that did not occur. You can buy it all, or buy none of it. + Just looking at the racks was a lot of fun for me; I stayed within my budget for the day, but came home with a piece of jewelry, a short trench, and a cute skirt. + I plan to take this tour again, when I am back in the City. | ||||||

| It was very interesting and well worth the time. The trip delivered all that it promised. I would suggest that since people on the trip might need to coordinate with others that the end point of the trip be published and end within 15 minutes of the posted time. | Great tour leader and great information. The tour dragged a little and we were getting impatient towards the end A map depicting our route and the places we stopped would have been helpful. | ||||||

| I took the Soho/NoLita shopping tour on January 10th. The guide was very nice and helpful. She gave a lot of historical tidbits which I appreciated. Overall, I thought the tour was just OK and if you measure the success by purchases made by the group of seven women it wasn't very much. We only visited a handful of stores to be honest although we were given a list of stores that we could visit on our own which was useful. I did better on my own walking around the area. The cost of the tour wasn't too expensive so I don't think that money was lost. | ||||||

| Julie, our guide was both lovely and funky - good choice of person for the activity. I was most impressed by our guide. She was approachable, knowledgeable, interesting, open and receptive to questions - very personable. Pay her well. I would have enjoyed even more historical information about the area. That said, I understand this was a "shopping tour" and Julie did a very good job incorporating information with "shopping". Not too impressed with the shops, but then, I am from an urban area. Wish we had known that shops did not open until 11:00 in SoHo. Oh and MarieBelle - if this is what New Yorkers think is the "ultimate" they haven't, one - read what is in the ingredient list or two, have not been abroad for chocolate. All said, I'd still recommend the experience. | ||||||

| I purchased a ticket to get a behind the scene's look into the Garment industry and I wasn't disappointed. Although the tour caters towards women and sample sales of women's clothing, there were sales for men's clothing as well. I highly recommend this tour to men and women alike. | ||||||

Highly Do Not Recommend This Tour -- RIP OFF

| Our tour guide, Marla, had NO fashion experience. We had 3 adults and 2 teenagers on the tour. Out of the 12 places listed we DID NOT go to all of them. One show room was closed. You saw selected "designer" names unrecognizable. The H&M, DAFFY's, and Felines Basement Discount Designer Store, which we went to outside of the tour, were great bargains with alot of designer merchandise. TJMaxx Store and Marshall's Store in NC have merchandise from known designers that put this tour to shame and you do not pay a "rip off" fee of $65 each. One showcase "Marla" took us to gave us a discount of only 2 to 3 dollars. The merchandise shown was of "poor" quality. On show room had only a small rack of approximately 30 items available to look at. Another bathing suit store sold unrecognizable name suits beginning at $100 and no one in our group purchased anything there. This was a waste of $65 per person and the tour was not even complete. I am very disappointed that your agency sold us a bill of goods. Our time in NYC was valuable and your "advertisement" made it sound to a teenager researching the internet you had access to purchase top names at 50-80% below retail. I am still waiting to see that merchandise. I bought nothing, my girlfriend bought nothing, and my 13 year old purchased 1 pair of shoes, a top and a dress which were no big deal. I guess when you spend 3 hours running in and out of buildings you puchase something for no real reason. The "tour" guide acted guilty that we were not impressed as we tried on not 1 single item. I would say "WARNING WARNING RIP OFF OF A TOUR". Save your $65 each and go shopping at all the glorious discount stores and vintage shops open to the public. When we booked this tour I asked for feedback from your company. I was told that only "6" people had responded with good remarks. I also asked if any of these so called sample sales were open to the public? I was told no they were not. This is false information. We saw "signs" at some places on the street announcing "sample sales". We stayed at the"Westin" Hotel. I showed the Hotel the information and they had never heard of your company or this tour. I will make sure it is not recommended at the hotel either. I am extremely disappointed and quite frankly feel a "refund" is in order. Again, we did not visit all the showrooms indicated by our not so knowledgeable tour guide. Most stores advertise "satisfaction guaranteed". Where do you stand behind this rip off tour????? FYI: My daughter purchased dresses valued at $450 for $50 at Daffy's Store. Great Place to Shop. She purchased designer Rock Port bluejeans valued at $200-$300 for $50 at Feline's Basement. Another great discount spot. Shop there my friends without any gimicks and a guarantee for your purchases. Brenda Morrison Charlotte, North Carolina | ||||||

| Hallie was a wonderful leader, and tailored her tour to the group audience. When I was done at one store, she helpfully pointed me to the next store I could visit ahead of the group. I did appreciate not spending too much time at any one store, so that we could see a maximum number of stores in the area. I never would have known about the Young Designers fair without her help. Thanks so much and looking forward to the Garment District tour in the Fall! | ||||||

| I took my daughter and 3 of her friends for her 13th birthday. They had a great time. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to do something different while in NYC. We plan to return to the hot spots that our tour guide took us on when we return to NYC. It was worth it. | ||||||

| This is the second Shop Gotham tour I have taken. Having greatly enjoyed the Garment Center one, I thought the Soho was worth trying. And indeed it was! We scooted in and out of some really interesting shops, getting a taste of both high style & function.Store owners were so welcoming and I walked away with a couple of great items. The tour time goes very fast so as advised I used my discounts later on--that was a fun incentive to stick around. A last note to Shop Gotham: the group was very diverse and I commend the guide for expertly managing everyone. | ||||||

| "Nature was not on our side, but this rainy yucky day was kept lively and jam packed with good stuff by an informed and very lively guide who so evidently targeted the stores to our group. I just relocated to the city and felt like a real New Yorker! Totally enjoyed the shopping selections and would recommend this tour to everyone." | ||||||

Great Experience to explor the garment district

| My 17 year old daughter and I enjoyed the shopping trip. The tour guide was pleasant , helpful and eager to please everyone in the group. Surprisingly, there wasn't a large selection in our size (size 0-2). Everyone said that most samples come in the tiny sizes. If you are a size small , medium, 6-8 the selection was greater. I found a lovely designer skirt and a necklace. My daughter found a blouse and 2 pieces of jewelry. We went to a few sample sales that were suggested outside of the tour. We found a load of discounted drug store cosmetics (Almay). I would like to see the tour include more stores and variety like handbags and shoes. (Several stores only allowed you to shop off certain racks). Even though we live in New Jersey and visit the city often, we enjoyed getting the inside scoop of the garment district. | ||||||
