Our tastings allow you to sample food from restaurants, bakeries, and other ethnic eateries, speak to restaurant owners and chefs, learn about the cultural influences behind the food you’re eating, and the history of the local community. Most of all, we want you to enjoy great company and great food.

Activity Description
On this 3 1/2 hour walking tour through Downtown Los Angeles' Little Tokyo district, guests will have an opportunity to learn about the history and culture of the neighborhood while stopping multiple times to sample local delicacies. Local foodies and tourists alike will appreciate this opportunity to indulge in authentic Japanese tea, mochi, pastries and savory dishes.
Little Tokyo is home to several restaurants, bakeries, and other historical eating establishments. Its one hundred plus years of history provide some fascinating stories. Our tour will take you throughout Little Tokyo, from Fugetsu-Do, a confection shop and the oldest building in Little Tokyo to Wakasaya, one of the newest restaurants in the area!
Our food tours are more than just walking and eating. We hope to provide you with an entertaining, educational, and exciting experience. You’ll learn about Japanese culture, the history of Little Tokyo, the art and science of tasting, and have great conversations over great food.
The morning tour differs from the afternoon tour.
Contemporary Little Tokyo (10:00AM)
This tour provides a contemporary look at Little Tokyo, including two non-Japanese stops, Chado Tea Room and Spitz Restaurant
Traditional Little Tokyo (2:15PM)
For the sushi-lovers, this tour provides a more traditional look at Little Tokyo.
Both tours include Six Taste Bag and Seven different tastings.
