Whale Watching Trip on Monterey Bay

The crew was knowledgeable and professional. They really knew how to find and follow the whales. We were "blown" away by the blues and fins. But this boat did not accommodate passengers on the upper level, and other boats in the same watching area did. It would have been better viewing the blues if we could have been up higher to see down into the water. Next time I will find a boat that has an upper deck.

A very fun trip we saw Orcas , Humpbacks, Sea Lions and Otters. My first time out, I will go back. Loved the naturalist. The boat was very comfortable. Thanks for the tip on taking Dramamine some one on our trip got very sick but not me.

The boat, staff, food and whales were GREAT! I highly recommend the Stagnero Velocity Boat. PS - Don't forget your Dramamine!

Saturday, 6/16, saw many hump backs and even some killers. A great experience on a beautiful day. A word of caution. Before the trip the naturalist suggested buying some preventative medication available on-board for seasickness. It might be a wise thing to do as a few people did become ill. One woman became so ill she passed out. However, the crew took excellent care of her and luckily there was a nurse aboard who helped the situation. The crew notified shore and Medics were waiting at the harbor to take the ill woman off when we returned. Good to see the professional action on the part of the crew.

I definitely recommend this adventure! We saw many whales! It was amazing! Do yourself a favor and check the swells...if it's choppy take TWO Dramamine ahead of time. And get a good night's sleep the night before. (One of the staff said poor sleep can contribute to sea-sickness.) Come prepared and you will have a wonderful experience. We will always remember our time with the whales!

Loved the whales. But many, including one of this group, got very ill, ruining the trip. The advertisement of the trip seriously played down the sea sickness aspect. Only when we checked in were we warned. And despite dramamine and other preventitives, one of us was so sick, she threw out her back vomiting. There should be more of a warning before a person signs up!

We were treated to a great display of the Humpbacks feeding on the krill. Several dozen whales were within site at one time. A special outing, with a friendly and informative crew.

My mom and I decided (at the last minute) to book a trip. My mom is 60 and I am mid-30s. We couldn't have had a better experience. The staff was helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. The boat was clean and big and had plenty of viewing/seating room. The whale watching, otter watching and dolphin watching was amazing! We saw SCORES of humpback whales - so close to the boat! The trip was really worth EVERY penny. Just awesome.

This was my second trip out. I brought my daughter and two nieces along this time and we had a blast. We saw two different types of whales (humpbacks and fin) and 3 different types of dolphins the dolphins swam under the sturn of the boat the girls thought that was awesome. The naturalists on the boat answered any questions we had. If anyone is looking for a great whale watching trip I would highly recommend Stagnaro Charter Boats for a great experience.

This was a fantastic trip. Stagnaro's know what they are doing and they provide a wonderful experience. We had an A+ day and got to see many different species of whales and porpoises. It was an awesome experience.
