Whale Watching Trip on Monterey Bay

Whale watching day trip was as advertized. The personnel on the boat were informative and friendly, as was the naturalist, Maureen. We only saw one grey whale, but once spotted, the crew followed it for at least an hour....some good views of the whale when it surfaced. The crew explained that every day on the water is different, and that some days were better than others for spotting whales....no guarantees on seeing whales, but you never know...we went on a similar trip a few yrs. ago, and saw no whales...would recommend this trip.

Whole family - ages 25-67 had a great time. Luckily no one got sea sick. The Stagnaro staff was enthusiastic and helpful and made sure to find whales for us to see.

We did this as part of family reunion--nine of us ages 17 to 50+--some of us were more excited about it than others until we went, and everybody loved it. We saw gray whales, otters, and sea lions, but the highlight was observing a small pod of Orcas feeding. The group included juveniles and adults. They frolicked, fed and showed off for about an hour, magnificent! The crew was knowledgeable and friendly, the boat comfortable. We had a sunny calm day. It was still chilly when we were in motion. Dress warmly and in layers.

The crew really made this trip amazing. We saw once in a lifetime event: Transient Orcas hunting and feeding. The Captain and onboard naturalist really brought it to life by teaching us how to read the water and what to look for. The ocean worked its magic by opening to the wide horizon as our vision broadened and took in the vastness. The interaction with the crew deftly brought us together as a group and directed our attention the details that told the story. We also saw many Grey Whales, sea otter, sea lions and an array of birds. Transformative experience! Thank you!

Boat was clean, rode well in the ocean, wish the crew had helped the people who got seasick to the back of the boat rather than letting them puke in a bag in the middle of the other people all trip. It would be nice if for the price you could get 1 or 2 free waters or sodas. Cap't tried hard to find whales with no success but we did see some black and white dolphins, some large sunfish and an enormous field of large jellyfish.

It took a while and we thought we were having no luck. The Captain took us out further than usual but we ended up seeing a wonderful pod of killer whales. A breathtaking experience! The crew were great! There was coffee, food and snacks on board. I would highly recommend!!!

We were Lucky enough to see Orca Whales in a group of 3..then later up to 6. it was so special and Beautiful. my Man and I had an Amaziing time and would definetely do it again. thank you.

I could see killer whales and sea lions. These were so beautiful! These were truly different from what we can see in aquarium. Also cruzer was nice. We could buy coffee and something to eat in the cruzer. It was very convenient.

Great crew that included a naturalist. Because the naturalist interacts individually with the customers, the captain is only occasionally on the loud speaker, allowing customers to enjoy the experience. Nice vessel, well organized, check whale sighting reports on their website to get an idea of what you may see. We saw a pod of 4 orcas feeding on a seal they killed. Gruesome, but amazing. First time I've been whale watching and will do it again next year when different kinds of whales are in town. A must do.
