Whale Watching Trip on Monterey Bay

We HIGHLY recommend this whale watching tour. The crew was polite and very informative. They found 6 humpback whales and 5 blue whales for us to see! The crew educated us and our children about each of the kinds of whales that we were looking at. The boat ride was smooth and not overcrowded. This whale watching tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Santa Cruz, California.

My son and I thoroughly enjoyed this whale watching trip. The Velocity is a very well maintained speedy vessel and the crew keeps the boat spotless. There was no bilge 'fragrance' even tho' they just rerurned from a sport fishing trip The naturalist, skipper and deck hand were all very informative and knowledgeable about the Monterey Bay and various species of whales and other mammals who inhabit the bay. We did not expect to see as many whales as we saw and even were treated to a breaching whale display just yards from the boat.. I opted to go for the motion sickness meds they provided and had absolutely no negative effects. We will go again and take other friends who do not live int the area. Loved it.

We had an exceptional day of whale watching. We were fortunate to get near a pod of 8 to 10 whales and the activity was fun to watch. We even were lucky enough to see one of the whales breach the water which was quite spectacular.

The crew was great - courteous, helpful, informative. We came prepared for cold and took dramamine an hour before the trip. So no complaints, no sea sickness. It was the first time my grand daughter (12) was on the ocean for any great length of time - she said it was "awesome". Time was up before we knew it. So lots of whales, we learned some stuff, and then had a nice cruise home. thanks!

My daughter loved the whales, we probably watched as many as 20 whales. The service was friendly. The directions were exact. The tour guide was very informative and friendly. We enjoyed the tour throughly and would recommend it as well as do it again.

I brought my son to Stagnaro's Whale Watching for my 9 year old son's birthday. He said that it was his "best birthday present ever!" We saw ton of whales and they even gave him a little coupon to get some food goodies on the boat since it was his birthday. Great trip!!!

Highly recommended. Saw an abundance of wildlife in the 3-4 hrs. Saw a large number of whales, much more so than we ever would have anticipated seeing. And got within around 25metres of some of them which again exceeded our expectations hugely.

We were very pleased with the trip. We were fortunate to see humpback and blue whales several different times during this trip. The crew was very hospitable and informative allowing time for pictures and maneuvering boat to get the best angle. We are really happy that we took part as we may not get back to the Pacific Coast again.

THEY SHOULD INFORM PEOPLE THAT THERE IS NOT ENOUGH SEATING FOR EVERYONE.THE BOAT WAS TO SMALL FOR THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE THEY PACK ON IT .OTHER THEN THAT WE SAW WHALES AND HAD A GOOD TIME ...LOT OF PEOPLE GOT SEA SICK BUT WE TOOK MOTION SICKNESS MEDICATION SO MY FAMILY DID FINE...
