Stagnaro's whale watching tour - something I'd always wanted to do - was great!! The boat and staff were super. The seas were a bit choppy beyond the edge of the bay (many passengers did get seasick) - take Dramamine ahead of time. We saw quite a few whales - a humpback, some greys and a fantastic pod of Orcas.
Many of the whales were 'shy' so beyond the initial sighting they disappeared. We traveled with the Orcas for a while before they moved on.
I would absolutely do it again. |

We saw lots of whales. The staff were amazing and the boat was really nice! We took ginger pills before leaving but really wished we would have taken actual sea sickness meds. The experience was amazing but about half the boat was sick - it was rocky out there. This obviously had nothing to do with the boat, staff or anything other than weather. I'm sure other days it is smooth sailing. The important part was that we saw tons of whales! that is the whole point of whale watching! |

Saw only glimpses of three whales. Four hour trip with more than half of the guests onboard terribly seasick, throwing up overboard, fainting, miserable. My entire family was extremely seasick. The boat was not in the best condition, kitchen looked dicey at best, no consideration from crew with the exception of the one female who described what we were seeing. |

Obviously dependent on animals "available" and therese were a little sparce when we went but the organisation, pre and per trip information were excellent. Couldn't really fault the outing at all. |

We went on March 3rd, before the peak northward migration of the gray whales, but the crew still found a couple for us to watch. They also found a school of dolphins and managed to move with them for quite some time. They swam alongside our boat, often crossing from one side to the other; it was great. The naturalist was friendly and knowledgeable. The other crew members were also nice and kept their eyes open for sea life for us.
It was quite cold on the boat so dress warmly. I brought gloves (in addition to my hooded parka) and was glad I did! The cabin could only accommodate about 14 people, so most of us were on the deck most or all of the time. I don't know whether I get seasick easily, but I took a tablet about an hour before we left and didn't feel queasy at all. Follow all of the instructions they send about attire and food.
It was a great trip and I would use this service again. |

We did a 3 hour whale watching trip and managed to catch Gray whales, Sea Lions, and a huge pod of Common dolphins! My girlfriend and I both get sea sick, so there after we got out onto the open ocean, it was a little rough, but certainly not the fault of anyone running the tour. The captain was excellent about getting us great views while being respectful of the animals. The naturalist on board was super excited to show off the great marine mammals all around us and was incredibly gracious and helpful with regards to keeping everyone happy, comfortable and well informed. Overall, a fantastic day out on Monterey Bay! |

We chose the perfect day! Calm waters and lots of whales. We were able to see Orcas, Humpback Whales, and Gray Whales. Even saw a whale breech! How exciting! We brought sandwiches, fruit, water, and pretzels in a cooler for lunch. My husband and I, along with our son and daughter-in-law loved it. |

Exceptional whale watching experience for my wife and I. Great captain and crew. Saw three whale species ( Gray, Humpback, and Orcas) plus Sea lions and Bottlenose Dolphins! Up close. Even saw a 65 foot Humpback breech his entire length! Fantastic! Memorable! |

I took my granddaughter, who is 7. She loved the white caps and excitement of being on the the boat. We didn't see any whales, but had a wonderful time and a rain check to come back and try to see the whales again. |
