This was the 2nd trip, the first one we did not see anything so they offered a free ticket for another trip which we scheduled 3 weeks later. The day was nice little cold but sunny, the ocean was a little rougher but nothing to complain about. After around 1 hours ride out we in countered a pod f whales and tons of dolphins 3 different kinds, we saw whales with their calves as well as some just feeding. The trip was great and would recommend it to everyone.
Great job by the staff and crew and we are looking forward to an other trip later this summer. |

This was me and my friends first experience of whale watching. We all had never seen whale in person. It was amazing to watch all the humpback whales over there. And, We didn't only see one, but there are many of them, probably about 10 of them that we saw. And the captain was really nice. He drove the boat to gets closer to the whales so that all of us can take good pictures. We even also heard a little bit of the singing voice of the humpback whales. It was only for a couple seconds, but I am sure that I heard it.
We also see, dolphins and sea lion in this trip.
Also, I am a person who is easily got sea sick, but I didn't get much sea sick until the end of the trip, so it was good. I get to experience all the good part of the trip without sea sick even tho I did get sea sick at the end of the day when going back to the land. But all and all, it was a very good experience. if I had a chance I definitely will do it again. |

We enjoyed it,wished we had followed dolphins more. Different times of year are different whales so would defiantly do it again to see other whales. |

We had a great time on this trip. Although it was a bit cloudy and windy we had a lot of fun because we were prepared. We saw some Orcas which is pretty unusual so we were lucky. The crew was very nice and provided some background informations. The organization ahead of the trip was not that great but overall I can clearly recommend this event. |

The boat was great - not at all crowded, and plenty of seating (unlike some of the boats that seem to come out of Monterey). The crew were very friendly and well-informed about all the wildlife we were seeing. The whales were a little 'thin on the ground' at this time of year (end of April), but we did get to see a couple of humpbacks that were feeding some way down to the south (at the other end of Monterey Bay). We appreciated the fact that the crew took us all that way to see them (I guess they didn't have to) - especially since this took us a little over the 4 hour mark. |

The crew spotted whales within the 1 mile marker zone and followed a mother and calf traveling north alongside the Santa Cruz/Halfmoon Bay coast. All passengers had the opportunity to see the whales and take plenty of pictures. We followed them for approx. 1 hour, which I regarded with mixed feelings. Because the boat approached the whales to a distance of approx. only 200 ft (just a guess, it seemed really close). Yes, it is nice to get a good view but I believe it is a disturbance for the animals especially over an extended period of time. It felt like a chase and it seemed that after maybe 20-30 min people already started loosing interest. The boat then turned away from the coast towards the open sea in search of other groups of whales and dolphins. But they didn't come into sight. The boat itself is nice but if you go on a cold or rainy day be aware that the seats inside can only accommodate a fraction of the passengers. The crew is friendly and helpful. Overall it was a good trip. If maybe future passengers would also ask not to approach the animals so closely and for such a long time, the disturbance for the whales could be reduced without spoiling the experience for the participants. |

We had 3 generations on this trip (59 years down to 7 years), so everyone got a little something different out of it. Everyone had a terrific time even though we didn't see many whales. The Crew members were friendly, easily approachable and very knowledgeable. We were given information about all the types of sea life that we encountered. All of us would highly recommend this trip to others! |

It was a nice day out, and I enjoyed just being out on the water. My recommendation would be that the staff communicate better with the customers during the trip. They should have fronted the idea of no animals=rain check early on. It would have decreased the grumbling I heard throughout, unecessarily. Otherwise: fun day for me! |

We did not have chance to watch whale. But the crew members did their best to locate any wild ocean animals.
We finally had a chance to watch 600-700 dolphins. We are so excited to see so many dolphins in open sea.
I recommend this activities to every one. One last recommendation is to prepare motion sickness medicine. |

Unfortunately the whales were not cooperating the day we went whale watching. We had to go very far out on the water and it was very choppy so many people were throwing up off the side of the boat. Stagnaro's sends alot of info. about what to bring on the trip but I wish they would warn people to take Dramamine before the trip. My husband and I had taken some so we were okay but still naseous. We saw a whale spout a few times but every time the boat would try to go closer the whales were gone again-- we didn't see anything other than a few spouts in the water. I think our future whale watching trips will be from land. Good Luck--- definitely try to go on a day when the waters are calm and take your Dramamine! :) |
