| We were pleasantly surprised. Purchasing the tickets was easy and the directions were easy to follow. The boat was very nice and clean. The crew was so knowledgeable and very helpful and nice. All the passengers were respectful of each other, except for one smoker who did actually ask if it was okay. We didn't know if we would see whales or not, but even if not, the boat ride was fun. However, we saw at least a dozen whales; swimming, spouting, tails and breaches. It was AMAZING! We will definitely go again and bring our family and we would definitely recommend this trip to our friends and coworkers. Thank you:-) |

| I thought Stagnaro's guys did a good job with this trip (except for waiting 20+ minutes for a couple late-comers). And we did stay out a bit longer than advertised. Their comments about marine life were informative, and they didn't push their refreshments too much. We saw some whales - they seemed apologetic there weren't more, but that wasn't in their control anyway.
I believe they followed applicable guidelines about maintaining proper distance from the animals, but by the time the trip was done, I felt as if we were hunting the whales and that made me rather uncomfortable. I wonder what impact whale-watching has on the whales?
Overall, I enjoyed the time on the water, even though it was a bit choppy, and the boat was comfortable. |

| We saw humpback whales, sea otters, albatross and sea lions. The crew were most accommodating and very knowledgeable. They kept us informed about what to expect to see, feel and experience on the trip. They also had an amazing knowledge of the wildlife we were seeing and likely to see. We'll do it again without hesitation. |

| Our hosts had scouted the whales the day before so that we would see them. We not only got great views of Humpbacks and several types of dolphins, but the rare Blue Whales. I felt that the operators were sensitive to the needs of the ecosystem and the animals and plants in it. Well worth the cost. There was ample room on the boat for everyone to have a good view. Safety was excellent, and the crew was very nice. |

| We had low to medium expectations--wrong time of year and all -but thought it would be great for local sightseeing if the whales failed to show. But we didn't have time for that. The whales were all over and showing off! And the commentary was right on!! |

| Web says Santa Cruz Wharf, doesn't matter if the printed ticket says otherwise, change the web page! At harbor, need better directions. Two piers wide apart, both with what watching sign (and hard to see at that) is not acceptable. We nearly missed the boat for both reasons.
The actual cruise was nicely done, which was the saving grace. |

| Finding Whale and watching them the way you expect is some times difficult as we experienced during our activity tour. We were lucky to locate first one in about 30 minutes but didn't want to surface out the way we expected, we gave chance to a whale to entertain us for over 20 minutes but it didn't like us and escaped. Crew members assured us that we will find bigger group of whale, we roamed around in water for couple of hours and finally we found two of them who entertained us couple of times before they escaped. It was almost 50 minutes over 3 hour time to complete the activity. But, crew members entertained us watching blue whates. |

| This trip was a gift to my mom who had never been on a whale watching trip. The ships crew greeted us and made us feel welcome and the announcer gave an informative update of all we saw. We live locally and I was somewhat dubious that we would see anything. However from the pelicans to the view offshore, sea otters, porpoises and humpback whales we were pleasantly surprised. All of usenjoyed the trip. The snackbar was sparse but it's a short trip and they didn't have the sweatshirt that I wanted which was posted in the cabin but we didn't go fit the fine cuisine or clothing. All in all two thumbs up. |

| The trip lasted almost 4 hours. We saw whales, dolphins and otters. Once we found the whales we hung around for a long time. There were 3 other, (bigger) boats that left long before us. Our boat was smaller and there were not many tourists, which was nice, lots of room. Our boat was family operated, another plus. We could purchase hot food, which was reasonably priced. At the pier, before leaving and on our return, we were entertained by seals and their babies.
Overall it was a nice outing and we will do it again. I can only recommend it. |
