The boat was comfortable for the size of the guests aboard, and the captain and naturalist did a great job of positioning the boat and explaining what we were seeing. It wasn't long before we all new how to differentiate a Humpback from a Blue whale!

Our guides were fun and interesting. They took us right to the whales, and the animals were very interactive this day, feeding at the surface. Whales came very close to the boat and we got some great pictures. Do take advantage of the motion sickness medicine that you can buy on board -- a couple of people got sick and it was a sad thing to see because everybody else was having a great time!

The trip itself was great where we saw many humpback whales as well as blue whales. However, as the boat stopped near the whales, the water was very rough, and a few people in the group got quite seasick. Overall it was nice seeing all the whales, but just wish the boat could be a little bigger.

Of course there is no guarantee of what will be seen, but the staff does its best to ensure a great experience

Great afternoon on Monterey Bay. Fantastic sightings of very active humpback whales and blue whales feeding on krill. Captain had good instincts about where to go and when to move to a different location. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Just when we thought we were done, the captain cruised along the shore at the edge of kelp beds where we saw dozens of adorable sea otters. Total time on the water was 4 hours but felt shorter. Large, fast boat, about 50 passengers but easy to move around and did not feel crowded. Get's cold and windy so be prepared.

Never experienced anything like this. Even saw a humpback breach! The crew was very friendly and well informed. The boat was comfortable and the visitors were very helpful to keep us all on our feet. Thanks for a really wonderful adventure!

We booked this trip expecting to see a couple of whales and have a good time - while we were out on the water, we saw SO many whales and the staff were SO knowledgeable and friendly! We were lucky to see the number of whales we did, but nonetheless, the staff made the trip extremely exciting and a learning experience as well. I would highly recommend going whale watching for people of all ages! It is a phenomenal experience!

The crew were very knowledgeable and helpful and contributed to the experience. One can't count on good weather and whale behavior, but we saw an abundance of Blue and Humpback whales and other sea life. It exceeded my expectations, and I will try to repeat the experience again.

I really recommend this trip. The krill were in and we saw so many whales, both humpback and blue. The crew was helpful and informative. Too many whales to count!

We really lucked out and had whales surrounding us in every direction. The staff was friendly and informative, we were told we were seeing a real treat... as sightings aren't always as abundant. The boat was comfortable, and provided opportunities for all to view.

We hit the right day. We had about 6 to 8 whales, Blues and Humpbacks, feeding and swimming. They are beautiful and amazing. The crew was knowledgeable and pleasant. They seemed to enjoy the whales as much as the passengers. The only drawback was that my 82 year old mother had difficulty waiting in line for them to let us on the boat--be prepared, entry onto the boat and a place to sit down isn't available until the actual trip time even though they ask you to be there early.

This was my family's first experience with a whale watching trip. I would HIGHLY recommend Stagnaro's Charter Boats for anyone looking for a fun time. The crew was extremely knowledgeable and courteous.

My family loved this. We tracked two whales for a good portion of the trip and we saw probably 3 or 4 other whales by the end of the trip. My four year old loved having a front row seat to these amazing animals. The two we tracked came up right next to the boat more than once. It was so exciting! The crew was great and the naturalist on board made the experience wonderful and educational for all. I would highly recommend this trip.
