| We had a great time. We enjoyed the boat ride and saw 5 whales and a pod of about 500 dolphins. Everyone in our group had never been out in the ocean before. We would highly recommended it to anyone. | ||||||

| We saw otters, sea lions, dolphins, whales and even an albatross or two. The crew was great -- knowledgeable and friendly. It was a neat experience and I definitely recommend it. A couple of whales were within 20 feet of the boat! Just remember that it can get chilly (wear lots of layers) and it's a long way out. So the trip back can seem like a loooooong time, especially when you're a little sea sick. | ||||||

| Great crew and a good experience other than the rough waters, which was obviously not the crew's fault. They went out of their way to give us the opportunity to see whales even though we had seen many dolphins and otters, and time was running short. Thanks for going the extra mile. | ||||||

| It was a very good trip and the boat ride alone was pretty interesting even though the weather on the date I chose was not the best. I was very impressed with the number of whales we saw (5 in total, 1 single and 2 mother/calf groups). No dolphins but we did see a sea otter. Overall I would certainly do it again. | ||||||

| The captain and crew were actively working throughout the trip to spot and follow whales and to ensure that we saw as much as possible from as close as possible. They were very knowledgeable and provided interesting info about the marine wildlife in the Bay. | ||||||

| This was my third time. Every time has been different and every time has been great in it's own way, so I would highly recommend going more than once if your schedule permits. The first time there was a terrific storm. Unfortunately some people were seasick, so the trip was not as much fun for them. However the skipper took great care of us. The second time we saw a large family of whales, and one even swam right next to the ship! It was truly awesome. This last time the ocean was as smooth as glass; you could even see the clouds reflected on the water. We saw a large group of Risso dolphins (about 100). The skipper carefully manuevered through them so we could have a good look, while not disturbing them. Then we motored over to see 3 humpback whales. One even swam under the ship! The skipper is very knowledgeable so the trip is beautiful and informative. You genuinnely feel that this is not merely a business, but a sharing of his true passion for the ocean and the marine life. Enjoy! | ||||||

| This is one of the best activities we did as family this year. The weather was gorgeous, the ocean calm, visibility miles away. The condition can not be better for Whale watching. We had the pleasure to see displays of tens of douplins along the way. But the star of the day was the sighting of humpback whales. It was spectecular. What makes the excursion pleasant is the crew members. They acted professionally and dilignetly. At one point we almost lost hope of sighting whales around after almost three hours of search. But the dedication and trained eyes of the crew members made the day. It was great experience to be able to get so close to this beautiful creature, seeing and hearing it spouts and dives on and on. I highly recommend this excursion for all ages. PS: make sure you equiped with high zoom high res camera . It is well worth it. | ||||||

| What fun! We joined my brother and his wife for a delightful cruise as a celebration of our 33rd wedding anniversary - and my first trip to the West Coast. Parking was easy and inexpensive. Once parked, picking up our tickets was EASY! While waiting for the Velocity, we watched a cute group of sea lions at the pier. The cruise left the pier at exactly 10:00... we saw sea otters and some surfers. Then we rode quite a distance and found not only a humpback whale but also a pod of risso dolphins... and more sea lions! Refreshments on the boat were very reasonably priced - drinks, snacks, and sandwiches. The crew were very friendly and informative. How would I rate this experience? Speaking as a teacher, I give them an A+ ! | ||||||

| My son and I had a marvelous trip. Fortunatly the boat was not filled to capacity. We had a crew that was very informative and easy to get along with. The captain was a fountain of information on the Whales as well as the Monterey Bay in general. He informed us of the size of the Canyon that is very deep and the different species that might be found there. We had the hamburger and cheeseburger with bacon and they were fantastic. We loved it so much we have booked the Twilight fishing trip this Saturday 6/6/09. Thanks to all you help run this operation. | ||||||

A Whale Of A Time!

| This is my second trip with Stagnaro's on their whale watching cruise. I've yet to be disappointed. The trip is well worth it, whether you have clouds, fog or sun. Just keep in mind, this is not a trip to the zoo. On this trip, you might see just a few whales, or be treated to many, many whales. This last trip, I kept my camera on high speed and took over 200 photos of humpback whales surfacing and displaying their tails. It pays to take your best camera and take lots of pictures. Out of the over 200, I've saved about a dozen of the better ones. The captain and crew are there to answer any and all of your questions in a relaxed atmosphere. Even though they've done this trip hundreds of times, they still manage to keep it quite interesting for their guests. My thanks to the captain and crew of Stagnaro's for yet another fantastic time out on the bay. I'm looking forward to my next trip. If you're not into whale watching, check out these guys for their deep sea fishing trips. Stagnaros is the best! | ||||||

| We had low to medium expectations--wrong time of year and all -but thought it would be great for local sightseeing if the whales failed to show. But we didn't have time for that. The whales were all over and showing off! And the commentary was right on!! | ||||||

| The trip lasted 3 and a half hours. Older son loved it, younger daughter was ok for most, but felt seasick by the last hour. We saw loads of dolphins, mother and baby humpback whales. Guides were very informative and we thoroughly enjoyed the trip. | ||||||

| The staff were so nice and informative! We saw sea otters, dolphins, sea lions and a humpback whale on our trip. It was such a great experience! My family and I were so happy we decided to book the tour. We all took dramamine before the trip and definitely recommend doing so prior to boarding. | ||||||
