Stagnaro Charter Boats

The ship was clean and very well kept. The guides were amazing, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We saw a group of 4 or 5 humpback whales. It was amazing and would definitely recommend this tour.

We really didn't expect much and thought we'd be happy with just a boat ride, but WOW, we were treated to a fantasy experience. Two humpback, about 40 ft long, circled the boat very close for almost an hour. Around the boat, under the boat, synchronized swimming. Super close and playful. People on the boat were misted with their spouting, so close we could have touched them at times. At least twice they both stood on their tails and presented their snouts to the boat. Had they been trained it could not have been more spectacular. The naturalist on board said that it was one of the 5 best trips she's seen in 14 yrs. Our first. WOW!

We attended the tour on end of May. We could watch two whales. It was very exciting experience. Weather was not so bad, but on the sea was very cold. I recommend to bring warm wear.

Jennifer (the on-board naturalist) was great! Although we didn't see any whales or dolphins on our trip, Jennifer was very attentive to our 5 yr old boy who is a dolphin fanatic. She made what could potentially have caused a miserable ride home into an exciting and memorable experience. Thanks Jennifer!!

We had a wonderful time. It was much colder than we thought it would be and we also got a little seasick. But over all this was a wonderful trip. We saw several whales. The crew was very informative and friendly. We will do this again.

Nice Boat, Good narration by Naturalist, poor hygiene practices by the galley cook when handling food. Overall Good to Excellent

We really enjoyed the trip. A lot of companies don't allow young children, but this one does. My three year old had a blast! Even my one year old didn't want to stay in the cabin of the boat - she wanted to be out with everybody else watching the show. We didn't see many species, but three humpback whales put on a great display for us. Even the naturalist was excited about how close they got and how long they stayed. The crew was great and really made the kids feel welcome.

This event was well supervised, informative and professional. With 65 people I was afraid it would be too crowded, however, we stayed outside the cabin and were thrilled to see the whales and got a few good pictures too! I'd do it again. Ed and Laurie

We have been whalewatching several times but always in a larger boat where you dont have so much motion. But we did see several whales and dolphins. Nice.

This was a great trip. The boat was clean and comfortable. The staff were pleasant, informative, and helpful. Everything was as expected and on schedule. We had great views of several humpbacks feeding.

I wish my 12 & 14 yr olds had been with us! The crew can't guarantee a whale sighting but boy! You can tell how excited and happy they are when the whales cooperate! Obviously this crew really wants the best experience possible and seize every opportunity to teach and share the excitement!! Wonderful narrator/teacher!!

We were visiting from Vermont and made a special trip to Santa Cruz to go on the whale watch. It was fabulous. The crew was wonderful. The boat was comfortable. The whales were spectacular. Definitely the highlight of our trip.

The captain and naturalist on board were spectacular and made the trip so enjoyable! We saw so many whales up close. Also sea otters and sea lions. I highly recommend this trip. Ours lasted four hours. Its also very affordable!

We were delighted with the knowledge of the crew. It was a very enjoyable day, saw just about everything one could expect, even a Killer Whale.

I wish I remembered the name of our captin and crew as they were amazing! We had the sightings of a life time and would recommend it to everyone. Just fantastic!!!
