| Somehow, magicians have gotten a bad name and are usually grouped with circus performers or street performers. Steve Cohen, however, genuinely is a real entertainer, and his show is easily worth the $55.
Also, this is the PERFECT place to take your date =) |

| I am a real skeptic when it comes to things like this, but my husband loves illusionists and magic, so I thought this would be a good birthday present for him, and I was right. Steve Cohen is amazing with the things he did. It was nice that it was a small group of people and he got everyone involved in the show.

| I first was entertained by Steve on a private yacht rented by a client. My son and I were astonished bythe entire performance. I arranged an evening for my wife and I and two other couples. I did not advise the couples where we were going or what we would be seeing. When they found out it was a magician they were underwelmed. I told them this is not just a magician. We sat up front and each of our group participated in the various demonstrations. One very old freind of mine was most sceptical and at the end she thanked me profusely - said it was absolutely incredible. She is making arrangements for their children to attend. The other couple was from PA. They wrote to me that they were astonished by the performance and were making arrangements with Steve to attend parties in PA - they could not believe what they witnessed.
I may bring more people - it is too good to miss. |

| Steve Cohen is a extrarodinary performer but he's not magical (at least by my definition of magical). I believe there were at least two plants in the audience - one a single man who claimed , riding up in the elevator with us, that he was celebrating his 60th birthday (dressed in black jeans and tee shirt and as talkative as he was I do not believe he has no friends with whom to share his 60th. He seemed a bit of a showman/actor - if he was for real, he has credibility problems). The other was a woman who sat in front of me and was also attending by herself - yes I am suspicious and asked her. She was the only person whose name Steve remembered during the performance - Dominique.
At the beginning of the performance Steve asked a woman her name and I thought wow he's going to learn all our names by the end of the night (that would have impressed me) so I thought I'd challenge myself to see how well I did against him (yes I am a competitive person). Toward the end of the performance he called upon that woman again (Suzanne) and again asked her what her name was - he did not even remember that he already called upon her - big disappointment and nonmagical moment.
But for what it is: A slight of hand show, it's fun and entertaining.
