Bad view from seats in back. Cohen does a good job of keeping crowd engaged and his magic is fun.

Entertaininig

I enjoyed the event, though perhaps because I have some idea of how magic tricks are performed, I thought the event was somewhat less grand than I expected - i.e. the tricks were relatively straightforward - card tricks, and simple mind reading feats (see if you can pick out the shills in the audience). But it was definitely entertaining and fun to go up to the 35th floor in the Waldorf Astoria. I ate dinner beforehand at Peacock Alley, which I thought was a expensive for a great meal and drinks - the chamber magic just added to the magic of the evening :)

Better than Broadway

What a spectacular show. Steve is ridiculously entertaining and the magic will undoubtedly be the best you've ever seen in person. It's unreal that it's only $60, considering the price of Broadway show tickets. Do yourself a favor and go to Chamber Magic - you will definitely not regret it.

He's not a magician...he's a WIZARD!!!

Be sure to arrive about 30 minutes ahead of time. Other than the $100 reserved seats, it's all first come, first serve. Now about the show...there are things that happen that will BLOW YOUR MIND! I won't reveal so you can see for yourself. This is not some little dinky magic show. This man is a wizard with special powers. My jaw was on the floor almost the entire time. I will definitely go back to see it again. This show is great for all ages. I went just with my husband, but I'll be bringing along friends next time. This is great entertainment for the money...you won't be disappointed!

Great Night Out
Sat, Apr 12  7:00 PM harquin86 Female 30-39 Local Couple on a Date
I loved the intimate setting and even the dress code. It felt like a very elegant evening out. The audience was small enough that everyone could see everything from up close. Steve Cohen's card tricks were amazing. The show combines cards tricks, some mentalist feats (I know a bit about mentalist acts so this portion wasn't as satisfying for me as the rest of the act) and truly great showmanship. I recommend it.

This was the second time I saw the performance. I still can't figure out how he does it. I really like the small setting and the way he interacts with the audience.

My third visit, and the show gets better every time! Steve Cohen is a great showman! Probably not for kids under about 12. Definitely recommend!

It's just a "Dissolution"

If you live in the rain forests of darkest Africa or South America then you will be truly astounded by the Steve Cohen magic show. If, however you have seen more than enough of the type of magic show that culminated in the removal of Paul Daniels from UK television then avoid this show at all costs. The advert for the show gave the impression that it would be presented in superior surroundings and that unsuitably dressed guests would be consigned to the back. On the evening, the show was presented in an oversized lounge of an apartment and it wouldn’t matter if the guests had turned up in baseball caps, trainers, space suits (as long as they turned up). We were presented with an itinerary for the show which was split into Two Acts. The first Act contained the trick of different drinks from the same teapot (yes, that one again) and a few indifferent card tricks seen countless times on television and basic ‘mind-reading’ tricks. The whole charade was completed by naive Americans calling out ‘ Oh my God’, ‘No Way’; ‘Shut Up’ ! Do Americans have short memories or do they have their TVs permanently tuned in to soaps? We decided that we would sneak out unnoticed at the end of the first Act. No such luck though!! Steve Cohen, no doubt fearful of mass desertions, carried straight on into the second act. We could stand no more and walked out from the front row to the plaintive enquiry ‘Is everything OK guys?’. Our silence was the only suitable response to a massively overpriced and over hyped show.
