Fascinating Chamber Magic

I had seen the show about 2 years ago when I took a friend for a birthday gift. On December 29th, I took my nieces (29 and 25 years old ) and nephew (16 years old) as a XMAS gift. My brother-in-law and three sisters joined us. All loved the show. We are looking forward to the new show. One of my nieces remarked that the next show be a bit longer- I agree - seems like you are really getting into it and it is over! Might be a good idea to have a show for younger children with friends and family and one for older children (16+) with friends and family. I found the younger children to be a bit distracting! Idea - why not have a holiday discount for families andor a repeater discount !

This was our second visit. Hopefully, we will return with a new group of friends. Steve has matured well. he has much better audience rapport than at our last visit a few years ago. The "drink" tricj was incredible. WQe look forward to a new show. Cathy & Tom Lindstrand

Our family had a thoroughly enjoyable & unforgettable time at Steve Cohen's Chamber Magic last Friday night!! He's a very talented & smooth magician who seems to love what he does. He gets the audience involved & because the group is limited to 50, everyone is close to the magic being done. The setting is great & magical as well. Several members of our family (all adults) got to participate in the show & were quite mystified by the magic. All in all it was a truly memorable & fun experience!!!

I took my boyfriend of two years to see the show since the both of us have not seen a magic show before. We got there early and got seats right at the front row. Since there were only about 40 or so people, a good bulk of us were able to participate in his tricks including me and my boyfriend (and we were not planted there and it didn't seem like anybody else were either but it is a show after all so who knows...) Anyways, we both had good fun and left thinking," How'd he that?" Of course the one question we couldn't ask... (And if the magic doesn't impress, well just use the toilet. Apparently, it's the same one Hilary and Condoleeza have been on. Hmmm.) And If anyone of you happened to have brought a book to the show, I'll look out for your review. I am uber curious... How the h*ll did he do that?

The best thing we did while in NYC over Christmas season. We saw the Rockettes, the Lion King, went to MOMA, and the Natural Science Museum. Our kids liked this best. An intimate experience

We attended the show on 11/24/06. We were 2 adults, 2 seniors, and 2 pre-teens. We all loved it. The tricks were very original and fresh. Most had us completely baffled. Steve is a great showman and people of all ages would find him highly entertaining. We loved the intimacy of the performance, how he involved the audience and how we were so close to the magic. He doesn't work with an assistant and therefore uses his audience when necessary. While some magicians rely on lots of props, assistants in skimpy outfits and tell bad jokes, Steve is a totally class act and doesn't detract from his "pure" magic with any of those distractions. He's humorous, but we didn't find ourselves "groaning," only laughing and shaking our heads in disbelief. I hope he adds new material for future performances and if so, I would definitely go again. --Family from NY/NJ

I came informed (and slightly skeptical) and left a believer. Not only did I witness a fantastic show, I was randomly selected to be a participant. No Broadway show invites you to get up on the stage and sing so, for me, the interactive element was worth the ticket price alone. I hope to come again early next year, when Mr. Cohen reveals the brand new tricks he's been hiding up his sleeve.

My husband, myself and our 3 boys (ages 15-19) really enjoyed the show. A few things were predictable for a magic show but most was jaw dropping/fascinating. It still has us talking about it and wondering just how he did it?! Can't wait for his new show so we can experience that as well. We may even check into his corporate event availability.

The magic started out great and got even better as the show went on. The Think-a-Drink was one of the most amazing pieces of magic. The room that the event was in was simply magnificent. There was only one criticism: The room was a little warm and could have used a little air conditioning. Michael Baruch
