We enjoyed the show, and felt Mr. Cohen to be a very charismatic and entertaining performer, but left with a negative feeling after the show ended. He was cold to us when we didn't purchase any of the items he had on sale. Overall, a worthy and unique entertainment event from the many that are available in NYC on a Friday night.

The small, intimate group makes this particularly attractive and memorable. The magic/mind control was excellent but similar acts have been seen elsewhere but from a distance. Very professional performance.

My daughter and I were visiting New York and thoroughly enjoyed Steve Cohen's magic show. I have never been overly interested in magic shows, but I figured that it would be a great event for my 13 year old. Both of us were "wowed". I would recommend this evening highly.

After being a magician while in college, I was somewhat skeptical about what to expect - and I was very pleasantly surprised! Steve is a polished professional who pulls every member of his audience into the show. Fun was had by all - I will return with other family members when they come to town....

I took my girlfriend for her birthday. She likes magic and she had seen the show in the past when she received tickets through her employer, HarperCollins. I remembered her saying to me that even though she'd seen it for free she liked it so much, she would pay to see it again. So now she's seen it twice without paying. (I guess that's like magic. Good trick on her part.) I am not a fan of magic. I don't dislike it. I don't care. It turned out my girlfriend LOVED it just as much the second time and I really enjoyed it too. I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun I had. Plus, I came away with a great deal of respect for the work that Steve must put in to make it seem so easy and entertaining. He's like a dancer or athlete. I never thought I'd recommend a magic show to people, but I will. It was excellent entertainment!

Great Entertainer in a small intimate setting. The magic tricks and mind reading leaves you wondering how he did it. Great for Adults and Children 12 and up alike. My kids were 13 and 15. I would go back with my friends.

Steve Cohen is an outstanding performer and he has put together a show that is both amazing and very, very entertaining. You will see the impossible happen right in front of you, delivered with wit and charm. If you are ever in New York, or if you have the good fortune of living in a city where Mr.Cohen brings his show during his tours, GO SEE THIS SHOW! You will not regret it.

Steve was a really good showman, but I found that some of his tricks lacked a sort of pizzazz. The BEST trick was Think-A-Drink. I have been to many magic shows and I realize in this type of setting it's hard to have the gigantic trick, but what about some trick with doves or rabbits. Learn the Copperfield trick with the duck in the bucket. It will blow everyone away. More slight of hand and less mind reading or "heart beating." Thanks, Ira Saunders PS. Good luck on Letterman

We thoroughly enjoyed the show. The magic tricks and presentation were great and very interesting. We were very entertained and would recommend the show to others. My only negative comment is to include any children attending, no matter how small the part. My 13 year old son wasn't included in any of the magic, which I felt was wrong. He could've been given a book during one of the tricks, as well as one of the other adults. I understand that small children can be disruptive and uncooperative, but teenagers don't fit into that category.

Old fashioned magic show Chamber Magic

Steve Cohen puts on an excellent old-fashioned parlour magic show. The tricks range from slight-of-hand to mind reading. The show lasts just over one hour, and throughout the show Steve slowly builds a rapport with his (small) audience. The magic is done close up, and he invites the whole audience to move in and watch over one or two of the tricks. I think the show will appeal to most people who are a fan of magic in general. You may actually know (or be able to guess) how some of the tricks are done. But the execution is excellent, so much so that, even if you think you do know how, none of the pleasure is removed. Expect about 30 people in the room with you, which is a regular hotel suite with the furniture rearranged to allow seating for the customers. In fact, the suite has had some famous visitors, but I'll let Steve give the details on the night. Downside: Steve asks for cocktail attire to maintain an elegant atmosphere, and specifically asks for no jeans. But that didn't stop some audience members from igoring the directive. Which I thought was a shame, rude actually, but this was the 7:00 p.m. show -- maybe the later show has more polite and attentive custom.
