| In the Bronx, not on the Lower East Side of Manhattan!
This is a delightful, easily paced, intimate walk through the Arthur Street area--the Little Italy of the Bronx--a genuine neighborhood, not a tourist destination like Mulberry Street in Manhattan. You won't find "The Sopranos" here, just the everyday lifestyle of everyday people who happen to be Italian. One of my favorite stops was the "candy store" where the "village elders" gather around to solve the problems of the world--and where one of the matriarchs of the neighborhood will explain to you how she created egg creams--no eggs, no cream. And if you don't believe her, get ready to beat a hasty retreat--and no egg cream for you! |

| Had a delightful afternoon with a great group of people on and about Arthur Avenue, eating our way from one great establishment to another. I will definitely take my husband back as well as a large shopping sac to take home more goodies next time. Thought Arthur Avenue was as diverse, perhaps even nicer, as Little Italy in Manhattan. |

| We toured Arthur Avenue in the Bronx with Susan. We had a wonderful time. She was so informative and we loved stopping into the food shops and trying the wonderful samples. We had so much to eat that we were stuffed by the end and we discovered many new places to come back and try. Susan gave us lots of time and we were not hurried at all. We highly recommend the tour. |

| The guide picked us up at the Grand Central Station in the city where the tour began. We took the Northern train to The Bronx. The walking tour itself was nice, had numerous stops and interesting to see the neighborhood.
Our group was disappointed that at the end of the tour we weren't given a guide to get back to the train area. It was explained that some people wanted to visit the Bronx Zoo or the Bontanical Gardens while in the Bronx. This is ok but I still believe for the ones that did not want to do this should have been taken back to the area to catch the train. Our group is not "big city" people and was not comfortable with following verbal directions. Perhaps even a map given out at end of tour would have been better.
We went to the Botanical Gardens and considered touring. We were not informed though that it was a twenty dollar charge. We had to ask three different cops/booth attendants to finally locate where we caught the train back to Grand Central Station. |

| I would recommend this tour. Went in with a group of friends and would recommend that a group go....Suzy is fun and if you're a fun group, you'll enjoy being with her.
The shops were great and most places gave you a bite to taste. Learned a lot about the history of Arthur Ave.
Basically, a good day with good friends, good food and good fun. Thanks! |

Susan of Susan Sez provided us with a wonderful, informative experience. After giving us some of the history of the Bronx Belmont section, Susan graciously brought us to many local specialty shops including the Arthur Ave. Market where we tasted everything from homemade sausages, fresh cheeses , breads, pastries and pizza to a lovely slice of Italian cheesecake at the walkabout's end. What a treat !!
During all of this we heard about the local trivia and visited some very noteworthy historical spots. In addition, we found out about several nice restaurants. I highly recommend this tour to all. |

| I loved going to Arthur Avenue. The food we sampled was delicious and I bought lots of yummy stuff to bring home. I would highly recommend visiting the neighborhood. The tour itself was average. Other than pointing out the good places to shop and eat, I did not find the information particularly interesting or useful. So, if you want a guided way to see the Ave, take the tour, otherwise, I say go explore around on your own. |

| This was my second tour with Susan. I had to bring a friend to experience the "Real Little Italy" of New York. The tour was so informative and interesting. The tastings were wonderful and generous. Thank you Susan! |

| My friend and I totally enjoyed Susan and her tour. She is informative, down to earth, friendly, lots of energy. I plan on doing the rest of her tours as I return to the city over the next couple of years. I want to bring my daughter, also. The food was yummy and the vendors very pleasant. I would highly recommend this tour. |
