| In the Bronx, not on the Lower East Side of Manhattan!
This is a delightful, easily paced, intimate walk through the Arthur Street area--the Little Italy of the Bronx--a genuine neighborhood, not a tourist destination like Mulberry Street in Manhattan. You won't find "The Sopranos" here, just the everyday lifestyle of everyday people who happen to be Italian. One of my favorite stops was the "candy store" where the "village elders" gather around to solve the problems of the world--and where one of the matriarchs of the neighborhood will explain to you how she created egg creams--no eggs, no cream. And if you don't believe her, get ready to beat a hasty retreat--and no egg cream for you! |

| The tour was thoroughly enjoyable. Susan was knowledgable of the area and presented interesting facts of the neighborhood and its residents. We made plenty of stops along the way to sample delicious treats from a variety of shops and specialty markets. Mike's Deli was the best with the cheesmaking demonstration and the samples of several of their cheeses. We've been to Little Italy in Manhattan. You don't know what you are missing until you've been to the "Real Little Italy" in the Bronx. Susan's tour is a great way to experience it! |

| I had a wonderful day exploring Arthur Ave, eating my way through all its glorious food - you will definitely not be hungry after this tour. Handmade cheeses and salami, olives, italian bakery delights and maybe the best pizza in not only the Bronx but NY!
The tour guide is a friendly local and very knowledgeable of the of area, making for an enjoyable and informative day. She provides you with documentation to navigate the area post tour with many recommendations on where to shop and eat, and just a short walk up the road is the Botanical Gardens and the Bronx Zoo. Take this tour, you will not be disappointed.! |

| I have wanted to see Arthur Av for quite some time. This was a great way to become acquainted with the neighborhood. Our tour-guide was very knowledgable about the area, and shared a lot of her insights. Our group was small with everyone very interested in every stop. This is only our second walking/eating tour in New York, but i am looking forward to many more. Thank You |

| This was a great tour - gave us a bit of the cultural/historic background of the neighborhood as well as guiding us through a wonderful array of culinary treats. It was such a fun afternoon and a great way to explore a new area of the city. |
