Arthur Avenue Walkabout

Susan gave us an excellent tour of Aurthur Avenue. She was very knowledgeable, and the food was excellent! We had the BEST pizza we've ever tasted. All the locals were very friendly and you could tell that Susan felt very at home on Aurthur Avenue. Definitely recommend!

Susan provided an amazing morning for my group. Her insightful commentary, funny anecdotes, great local knowledge - not to mention her special relationship with all the key restaurants and vendors - made it a memorable outing. Susan was very personable and knowledgeable. She was very familiar with the tour area and able to provide information and stories relating to the neighborhood that extended beyond the food. The food samples were ample and delicious. Would highly recommend the tour to anyone considering it and will definitely suggest it to anyone making the trip to NYC.

I have wanted to see Arthur Av for quite some time. This was a great way to become acquainted with the neighborhood. Our tour-guide was very knowledgable about the area, and shared a lot of her insights. Our group was small with everyone very interested in every stop. This is only our second walking/eating tour in New York, but i am looking forward to many more. Thank You

The Arthur Avenue Walkabout with Susan was marvelous. Being my first real trip to NYC, I wanted to get a feel for the people who live there, not just the glitz. The stores, the people and the food were "delicious ". Susan was great fun and very considerate, thinking of all the details. I highly recommend walkabouts with Susan.

Great tour and food tastings!!!!

We had to pay extra (9,50 p.p.) for the train from Grand Central to the Bronx, which was an extra cost we did not expect. Our Metrocard was valid for subway and buses, but not for the train. We walked around Arthur Avenue and surroundings, but apart from the food which was ok, we did not learn a lot about the Bronx. The info given was not very interesting. Consider it to be a food tasting tour, not a Bronx tour.

The tour was thoroughly enjoyable. Susan was knowledgable of the area and presented interesting facts of the neighborhood and its residents. We made plenty of stops along the way to sample delicious treats from a variety of shops and specialty markets. Mike's Deli was the best with the cheesmaking demonstration and the samples of several of their cheeses. We've been to Little Italy in Manhattan. You don't know what you are missing until you've been to the "Real Little Italy" in the Bronx. Susan's tour is a great way to experience it!

My husband and I took many tours during our week in New York and agree that the Arthur Avenue Walkabout was the best. Susan is very informative and the food samples were outstanding. The neighborhood is amazing and we loved every minute of our tour. I am certainly glad this tour was scheduled early in the week before I fell and sprained my ankle!
