| The tour guide really enjoys his job. He is very knowledgeable and answers questions fully, explaining and giving lots of insight into the various areas in Harlem. It was an eye opener to learn of all the famous persons who at one time or another lived in Harlem. The time was fully utilized and he went above and beyond the call of duty to fulfill our curiousity. An excellent tour and job well done. CONGRATS and THANK YOU. | ||||||

| This was a great tour, full of interesting details and quirky insights provided by our tour guide, Paul. We were accompanied by a few visiting jazz musicians who added their own details along the way. Not surprising, as Paul is a great friend to many jazz players around the world. And BBC Radio was along with us as well, gathering audio for one of their jazz shows. Despite the brisk weather we kept warm together and had a great time visiting the pretty streets of Greenwich Village, the hidden cafés and some of the chatty locals. | ||||||

| An excellent tour! Paul Blair's guided walk through Greenwich Village is a treat for tourists and natives alike. Why wait to join your visiting out-of-town friends on a tour that will introduce you to the rich history of your own beloved city?? I live here, and learned much that will enhance my frequent walks through the neighborhood. A highlight was a visit to Chumleys on Bedford Street, the last surviving speakeasy in the country. | ||||||

| My wife and I have been in N.Y. before, with limited knowledge of Harlem. This tour brought us up to date on history, walking thru highlights of architectural beauty, all the while being fed with info about interesting people, not least those of the jazz heritage. | This was a wonderful tour. My friend and I saw it advertised three years ago, however, this year was the first time our annual weekend in NYC and the tour conincided. First and foremost I must say that we appreciate the fact that only the two of us and you did not cancel. It was a full 2 1/2 hours and our Tour Guide never made us feel rushed even though we realized there were onnly tow of us He provided us with so many details of the Jazz (our era) and when we had questions he went out of the way to show and answer all our questions. It was above ad beyond our expectations and we plan on taking two of Paul's other tours in the future. | ||||||

| Paul is most knowledgeable about a number of areas of Harlem with numerous pictures of several of the neighborhoods and highlights of the historic districts. He knows of the many jazz clubs that used to exist and describes the great jazz musicians that lived in various apartments throughout Harlem. Very interesting to see some of the historic buildings and neighborhoods as they are constantly changing. | ||||||

| I wanted to get a sense of the the various communities of Queens and Paul did that by pinpointing specific neighborhoods to visit and walking around each while describing it. If, like me, you have a somewhat vague idea of what Queens is this is the tour to take. It really specifies the meaning of Queens being the most diverse county in America. | ||||||

| Paul Blair did a terrific job of showing me many different areas of Brooklyn, including Park Slope, Prospect Park South, Brighton Beach, Coney Island, and Brooklyn Heights. He even added an hour-long walk through historic Fort Greene neighborhoods to accommodate my special interest in them. Our stop at Ozzie's Coffee, an old pharmacy in Park Slope, and our lunch at Memo, a wonderful Turkish place in Kings Highway - both dutch treat - were highlights. As an anthropologist/professor, I especially appreciated Paul's interest in the various cultures of Brooklyn as well as his architectural expertise. He is a delightful companion who has a wealth of knowledge to share and does so with grace and enthusiasm. I look forward to taking the Queens tour with him later this year. | ||||||

| Harlem is a district that comparatively few tourists visit. They don't know what they are missing! Wonderful architecture, friendly neighbourhoods and, above all, fascinating places associated with the history and heritage of all styles of jazz. Paul Blair was a friendly and knowledgeable guide; for more than two hours he led us at a comfortable pace along street after street , nearly every one of which boasted apartments, houses & clubs where musicians who pioneered the development of jazz of all styles lived and played. We looked in at Big Apple Jazz (a chance to buy CDs and receive free jazz magazines) and Minton's Playhouse and Jazz Club and, as our walk was held on a Sunday morning, we could hear choirs singing as we passed churches of various denominations. These were evocative moments. Thanks Paul. | ||||||
