| We have been to New York (Manhattan), but have never been to any of the other boroughs. We decided that we wanted to visit Brooklyn, but not really knowing anything about it we were unsure where to begin. This was a great way to visit a lot of different areas in Brooklyn - Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights, Brighton Beach, Prospect Park South, Coney Island, etc. Paul provided information about the neighborhoods as well as historical background and now we have a whole list of places we'd like to return to in Brooklyn for our next trip. Thanks Paul! | ||||||

| A great day in New York. Paul Blair´s humble guiding was excellent - he opened doors we never knew there was something behind! It was a perfect combination of jazz history and a photographic event. I snapshottted round 500 pictures. His knowledge of jazz and where these people once lived is amazing - he is a walking encyclopedia. | ||||||

| The tour guide really enjoys his job. He is very knowledgeable and answers questions fully, explaining and giving lots of insight into the various areas in Harlem. It was an eye opener to learn of all the famous persons who at one time or another lived in Harlem. The time was fully utilized and he went above and beyond the call of duty to fulfill our curiousity. An excellent tour and job well done. CONGRATS and THANK YOU. | ||||||

| This was a great tour, full of interesting details and quirky insights provided by our tour guide, Paul. We were accompanied by a few visiting jazz musicians who added their own details along the way. Not surprising, as Paul is a great friend to many jazz players around the world. And BBC Radio was along with us as well, gathering audio for one of their jazz shows. Despite the brisk weather we kept warm together and had a great time visiting the pretty streets of Greenwich Village, the hidden cafés and some of the chatty locals. | ||||||

| The mystique that is Greenwich Village is accorded a highly informative insider's view as Paul Blair takes his fellow travelers on a two hour jaunt through some of Manhattan's more inviting little neighborhood streets. The past is unveiled through his captivating, and sometimes even animated, narrations, not just of the famous jazz haunts but of Village life in general. Poets, artists, musicians; alas the Eulipions of Rahsaan Roland Kirk fame, all come alive. Indeed, Mr. Blair's own eye is that of an artist, pointing out the architectural details ... the Greek Revival styles, the gargoyles adorning a particular building ... all fodder for my camera's lens. More importantly the tour had its social benefits. Members of the group were all introduced to one another and opportunities to mingle and share personal information or experiences were afforded and encouraged. Indeed you feel like you're making new friends, even if only for that day. This is all a tribute to Paul Blair's relaxed, unpretentious style, witty sense of humor and gracious warmth. It is difficult not to enjoy oneself on this tour. We were charmed and delighted. The pace is easy going. The experience is one that you'll want to do again and again. | ||||||

| We were privileged to have such a knowledgeable jazz enthusiast in Paul, who guided us so well around the highlights of 'Jazz Harlem'. Those venues that had been sadly demolished were still pointed out, so that we had a sense of the full history. The music of Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday etc. sound better to us now we have walked a little bit of their patch. Thanks for a great experience! | ||||||
