| I really enjoyed my tour with Paul, the guide. It was like being taken around the city wby an old friend - I found it fun seeing a different side of the real NYC that the average tourist would probably not encounter otherwise.I saw the wonderful mix of people that live in Queens and also got to sample some other sights I had not seen before ( this is my 5th visit to NYC ). The tour was also nicely paced - I never felt hurried & had ample time to take the pictures I wanted, plus I got to sample Afghani food ! | ||||||

| Paul who guids this tour loves Brooklyn and likes to show it off. He does it with passion and in good taste. History, architecture, current politics, people, places, interesting shops, jazz and blues tips, varied neighborhoods are all (and much more) a part of his endless knowledge. He is really a great guy who made our N.Y. experience memorable. Highly recommended ! | ||||||

| My wife and I have been in N.Y. before, with limited knowledge of Harlem. This tour brought us up to date on history, walking thru highlights of architectural beauty, all the while being fed with info about interesting people, not least those of the jazz heritage. | Excellent well informed guide. A lot of walking but the only way to see Harlem and rest stops were well timed and very good. | ||||||

| This was a great tour, full of interesting details and quirky insights provided by our tour guide, Paul. We were accompanied by a few visiting jazz musicians who added their own details along the way. Not surprising, as Paul is a great friend to many jazz players around the world. And BBC Radio was along with us as well, gathering audio for one of their jazz shows. Despite the brisk weather we kept warm together and had a great time visiting the pretty streets of Greenwich Village, the hidden cafés and some of the chatty locals. | ||||||

| The tour was fantastic. For anyone looking for an extensive, insightful look at the development of Harlem, with many references to the Harlem jazz scene and its glorious history, this is the tour! Paul's insights extend beyond music; he also points to numerous key sites related to Harlem's and New York's development and the community's political leaders. Paul is a fantastic guide--knowledgeable, friendly, enthusaistic, and upbeat! Be prepared to see a lot! It was well worth it--and a great education too. | ||||||

| This tour proved that there is so much more to New York than Manhattan. Paul was a charming and knowledgable guide and showed us so many different sides to Brooklyn. Although a full day tour, the pace was fairly gentle, so suitable for all. I would highly recommend this tour. | ||||||

| We have been to New York (Manhattan), but have never been to any of the other boroughs. We decided that we wanted to visit Brooklyn, but not really knowing anything about it we were unsure where to begin. This was a great way to visit a lot of different areas in Brooklyn - Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights, Brighton Beach, Prospect Park South, Coney Island, etc. Paul provided information about the neighborhoods as well as historical background and now we have a whole list of places we'd like to return to in Brooklyn for our next trip. Thanks Paul! | ||||||

| Enjoyed our day and learned so much about the many things there are to see & do in Brooklyn. Paul was a most pleasant & informative guide--moving our group along in a relaxed manner--which was most enjoyable after our previous hectic days in Manhattan. We're looking forward to revisiting several of the neighborhoods, parks, museums, and restaurants that were pointed out to us during our day. | ||||||

| The Harlem Jazz Walk was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We were treated to architectural highlights of Harlem, many unexpected. Everything from wooden town homes to stately mansions with incredible views of the city. We learned a good deal about local history, as it relates to NYC and to jazz. Welcome stops along the way included the delightful Settepani Bakery and Cafe, as well as a jazz record shop. Our guide, Paul, was both engaging and knowledgeable. He talked about where people lived and played, both at the places that survived and those that are no more. These were not the burnt broken images of Harlem from the seventies, but a beautiful part of the city with a rich history of change. Thanks, Paul! | ||||||
