Relax in the refreshing breeze and take in beautiful views of Lake Tahoe as we sail along the West Shore, then out into deeper water.

Took the day cruise on their very first sail of the 2011 summer season. Mid May and cold but not at all uncomfortable and they tended to everyone's need with extra blankets and sweatshirts along with appetizers and generous servings of sodas, beer and wine. Attentive crew and very engaging. Skipper Mike was confident, happy and made everyone feel safe and allowed folks ranging in age from 21 to 88 to have fun - he gladly let people sail the boat which was fun and added bonus. Be sure to tip the crew!

Best Part of Our Trip

We had to change our scheduled time of sailing because of off season minimal business. I wasn't very happy about that but was soon won over by Captain Mike and First Mate Greg. Super service, very courteous and my wine never ran out!! We will definitely sail again with Tahoe Sail when returning to the Lake Tahoe area.

It was a small group on the sailboat, which made it nice. The Captain and First Mate answered any questions you had along the way. They made sure everyone was taken care of, from helping you move all around the sailboat, getting you drinks, and getting you blankets and coats if you got cold. It was a totally awsome trip. I would definitely go again.

The captain and first mate were great. They made your feel comfortable and confident that you were in great hands. Captain Ron would shout out and let you know when the sails would shift, the first mate made sure that small passengers were safe. The views were spectacular! I plan on going again before the summer ends.

Nice Ride but we needed a little wind.

We really enjoyed the ride down the west coast of the lake. Captain Mike and his first mate were great. We just never got any help from mother nature in the way of wind for sailing. I would suggest going on the sunset cruise as the wind generally picks up in the late afternoon.

After getting off to a late start, we motored around the shoreline looking for a breeze...the Captain gave us a running commentary on home values along the shoreline (wow)...was more interested in the natural facts of the lake and surrounding area. We never really got to sail...no compensation for getting a late start and the less than thrilling experience. I felt that maybe we should have rented Kayaks instead, especially since we were near the shore the duration! The lake is beautiful anyway you look at it . We were there on our anniversary so the sailing was supposed to be a highlight...it wasn't.
