Daytime Cruise on Lake Tahoe

The Weather was fantastic. The ride out through Lake Tahoe was spectacular. The crew was very good and the whole group of people on board were great.

This is the 3rd time I've been on this particular charter, starting with The Avalanche and now on this boat, Tahoe Cruz. It just gets better each time... you can't beat a beautiful afternoon on the lake with a nice wind and great company. Make sure to take your camera and your suntan lotion! Lots of great photo opps and the staff will do anything to ensure your comfort and fun.

Pleasant people but it was simply one hour due south, a turn and then back north for an hour; all to far from the shore to see any of the structures and no effort was made by the crew to offer information other than respond to questions about the boat. It was very clear that the owners only interest in carrying paying passengers is that they are his ticket to enjoying a 50 foot boat.

Unless you own a 50 ft. yacht yourself, this is absolutely the best way to experience the lake and the western shore. Impressive, safe, fun and a good deal!

First of all, the Santa Cruz 50 is a large, fast, and comfortable boat. Captain Mike has done an admirable job rigging the vessel to maximize usable deck space. Even the bow is open to guests, thanks to a high-cut sail up front that clears standing passengers' heads. Captain Mike and his crew are professional yet easy going. But make no mistake, they are real sailors, and they are not into motor sailing. As soon as they hoist the sails, the engine is shut down. So for those of you who want to experience the lake with minimal noise, to enjoy refreshing drinks and conversation with pleasant background music, and to cruise effortlessly at 10+ knots while burning no fuel, then this trip is for you! Best of all, the captain is happy to share the wheel with his guests. There were several delighted kids in our group who can proudly say they've driven a large, ocean racing yacht!

We had a wonderful and relaxing time cruising along the lake on a sailboat. It was so peaceful out there without a motor, just the wind pushing us along. The crew was great and I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for something relaxing to do in Tahoe.

It was great to see the lake from a totally different perspective. Captain Jim and his first mate Greg were super. My family really enjoyed the afternoon cruise.

The day was wonderful (20 knot winds, blue skies, warm temperature). The office help was friendly, the skipper and crew were great, the boat was in great shape, and we had a great time.

It was a great time had by all and I would advise any one to take this trip.

The ship was great as was the crew of the Tahoe Cruz. We were met by a cheerful and professional Captain Jim. Lake Tahoe was a perfect setting with the wind and blue waters of the lake...clear blue sky. Everyone on board had a great time. We whole heartedly recommend this cruise to everyone of all ages. Next time we are in Lake Tahoe we will enjoy this cruise again.
