We were visiting Tahoe from the Bay Area for my husband's birthday. The sunset cruise overexceeded my expectations. Great service by the captain's assistant. Great tour around the lake. We really had a wonderful time. Thank you.

I purchased tickets to the Sunset Sail for my husband I for his birthday. He absolutely loves water, sailing, boats... the whole thing, so it was the perfect gift for him. It was a beautiful, peaceful sail. I strongly suggest you bring jackets/sweaters because the wind chill makes the temperature extra cold! After the sail, we went next door to Wolfdales Restaurant which was also amazing! We stayed right across the street at Pepper Tree Tahoe which was very convenient. We didn't have to worry about driving anywhere.

This was the second time we did this sail. The first was the sunset sail and this time we did the 2:30 sail. Both are great, but considering the fair weather at this time, we thought the 2:30 would be warmer. However, if the weather is warm, the sunset sail is really lovely and then you can grab dinner in Tahoe City afterward. Definitely dress in layers though, as it really cools down when the sun sets. The boat is very nice and the crew friendly. This trip had only 12 people onboard, which was nice. If the numbers reach upward of 20 or 25, it can feel a little crowded. Great appetizers during he sunset sail! Will definitely make this a yearly experience.

Our only additional wish was to see more things...we seemed to hug the coast and then putter around before heading back. We would have liked to venture out a little more.

We had guests visiting California from South Carolina, Florida and Missouri who had never been to Lake Tahoe before. This was a wonderful event to give them a feel for the area. We hit a day with beautiful weather and just enough breeze to keep us sailing. The crew was so personable, we would highly recommend this activity.

This trip to Tahoe was a first for my husband and I. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The sailboat tour was great. I have never been on a sailboat before but it was amazing. The views were spectacular!! The captain and first mate were very attentive to our needs and always made sure we were okay. We even met some really great people on the boat. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone as a memorable and worth wild experience.

Great 2 hour cruise. Captain and first mate knowledgable about the area and professional. Captain and first mate interacted with the crew. Appetizers and wine were OK. I will do this again next summer. The views on the lake were wonderful.

It was a nice cruise but without the sails...no wind. Regardless, it was a relaxing 2-hour cruise on the water. My particular group was all couples so my friend and I were the "odd couple."

We had a wonderful time on the lake... the weather was beautiful. We were a group of ten... enjoyed the sail, the wine and the appetizers. The boat is beautiful and the "crew" very capable... we all came home hoping to buy a boat !!!

Loved that personal touch by Tahoe Sail. We got the history, current recommendations for meals and activities and a great ride on a beautiful boat. Weather was great and the service was excellent. We even had one of our family members that was recovering from back surgery go on the tour. He had a great time.

I'd read some negative reviews about some staff members (yes, the wife) and hesitated only a brief moment before making a reservation. If you have any thoughts on booking a reservation for a sail please disregard any negativity and plan on sailing with Tahoe Sail. Finding parking on a busy holiday weekend caused only a brief second of concern. There was plenty of off street parking in an easily accessible lot to Tahoe Sail and to our dinner destination, Jake's On The Lake. We were greeted warmly by the (supposed) unfriendly wife upon check in. Seriously, she was a very nice woman and made us feel valued and appreciated. We all have bad days folks and everyone is entitled to one, especially if you work with the general public. We were shuttled to the beautiful sail boat in a Zodiac (motorized rubber raft). Being first to board let us have the finest choice of seating. We were shown blankets for our sunset sail and settled in for our 2 hr. sail. During the sail the first mate prepared drinks (wine, beer, soft drinks, tea, bottled water, or juices) and trays filled with appetizers. There was an abundance of food and drinks for all aboard. Our captain, one of the two owners of the business, was wonderful. He gave a great narrative of the lake. He also put our minds at ease when the gusts of wind made novice/inexperienced sailors fearful. He let any passenger with the desire become helmsperson for a few minutes. Overall, I would recommend this sailboat cruise for anyone who would like to get out and experience Lake Tahoe from the water. It could be for the more "adventuresome" and for those with no physical ailments (backs, necks, etc) as you are SAILING and not on a cruise ship or paddlewheel boat.
