Tahoe Sailing Charters

This is the 3rd time I've been on this particular charter, starting with The Avalanche and now on this boat, Tahoe Cruz. It just gets better each time... you can't beat a beautiful afternoon on the lake with a nice wind and great company. Make sure to take your camera and your suntan lotion! Lots of great photo opps and the staff will do anything to ensure your comfort and fun.

My daughter and I took the sunset cruise and we both thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The weather was beautiful and it was a great way to get out on Lake Tahoe.

Cruise was enjoyable and captain and mate were very attentive. Great evening.

Our group of 3 couples wanted to do something unique to mark 10 years of sharing friendship and the beauty of Lake Tahoe over the 4th of July holiday. The Sunset Cruise certainly met our requirements -- time on the lake; an activity new to us; a congenial and competent captain and attentive first mate; and the delight of watching one of our group take the helm, endure our teasing and safely navigate the boat almost all the way back to its mooring. Altogether a delightful experience. (and we enjoyed the drinks and nibbles too!)

From the reviews we read, we expected our Tahoe sailing trip to be fun, but it far exceeded that. The service was great (delicious appetizers and a good choice of beverages). The lake is beautiful and the captain an expert sailor. We'd definitely go again!

I would highly recommend this cruise because of the well organized thoughtful management of the activity.

I bought this cruise as a Father's Day gift. My husband wore a big grin on his face during the whole trip as well as hours later. We had a great time.

Overall, the cruse was a lot of fun. The crew was very friendly and the trip was very enjoyable. You get to see a nice portion of the west side of Lake Tahoe, have a few drinks and enjoy some crackers and cheese. If you want a "cruse" with gourmet food and a bar, this trip is not for you. This is a sailboat, clear and simple, and you are going sailing. There is no room to walk around and mingle with the guests although you will have the opportuntiy to meet and talk with some very nice people. Wear jeans or something casual as it could get windy...and be prepared to hold on as the boad will list from side to side during the trip...after all, this is a sailing trip. With all this in mind, it's well worth the price of admission.

We enjoyed our sailboat cruise tremendously. The captain and crew were informative and the trip was very relaxed.

We enjoyed our sailing experience. My friends from England had never been on a sailboat before and were surprised how smooth the ride was compared with other boats they had been on. My husband especially enjoyed sailing the boat on the way back. My only disappointment was that I thought we would hear or learn more about what we were seeing on the coast as we sailed by, but the trip was all about the sailing experience and not a tour of the coast in any way. Perhaps the description of the trip should be changed to reflect that fact.

Pleasant people but it was simply one hour due south, a turn and then back north for an hour; all to far from the shore to see any of the structures and no effort was made by the crew to offer information other than respond to questions about the boat. It was very clear that the owners only interest in carrying paying passengers is that they are his ticket to enjoying a 50 foot boat.

Not really a date, as we're an "old married couple"...ha ha....but we loved the tour. We had our own sailboat several years ago, but hadn't gone sailing in a long time. The weather was perfect, and the wind was strong. It was an awesome day. Jim and Fro were both very accomodating. Jim let customers sail the boat, and you could tell how thrilled they were. Fro served drinks and GREAT appetizers throughout the tour. Plenty of wine, cheese, assorted dips, crackers and chips. Lots of people opted for beer, and again, plenty of that was going around. I sailed a small portion of the way back to the mooring, and enjoyed it quite a bit. Jim does a good job describing landmarks along the way, keeping everyone interested. I'd definitely recommend it! And...I'm not sure I'd change a thing. The comaraderie was great, food and drink plentiful, and the time of day was magical. Thanks for a wonderful experience.
