A perfect way to enjoy Lake Tahoe Daytime Cruise on Lake Tahoe

First of all, the Santa Cruz 50 is a large, fast, and comfortable boat. Captain Mike has done an admirable job rigging the vessel to maximize usable deck space. Even the bow is open to guests, thanks to a high-cut sail up front that clears standing passengers' heads. Captain Mike and his crew are professional yet easy going. But make no mistake, they are real sailors, and they are not into motor sailing. As soon as they hoist the sails, the engine is shut down. So for those of you who want to experience the lake with minimal noise, to enjoy refreshing drinks and conversation with pleasant background music, and to cruise effortlessly at 10+ knots while burning no fuel, then this trip is for you! Best of all, the captain is happy to share the wheel with his guests. There were several delighted kids in our group who can proudly say they've driven a large, ocean racing yacht!

We had a wonderful and relaxing time cruising along the lake on a sailboat. It was so peaceful out there without a motor, just the wind pushing us along. The crew was great and I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for something relaxing to do in Tahoe.

Wow, what a great time! My husband and I went on the sunset sail for our Anniversary and my husband couldn't wipe the smile off his face! The crew was so friendly and so much fun.

The evening was great. We had good wind so we really got to experience what sailing is all about. The captain, crew and office staff were all friendly and extremely competent. The passengers on the boat were good company and made the trip even more fun. The wine, beer & appetizers were enjoyed by all. We live in the area and it was an exceptional way to celebrate our anniversary. We always take a boat cruise when we travel but we just had not made the effort to do it at home. So glad we did. I work in position that provides concierge services to vacationers and I will certainly recommend this sail.

On such a beautiful back drop, how can you go wrong? The sailing trip was for my boyfriend's birthday and he thought that it was wonderful. Perfect evening activity and the crew was great. The captain and his first mate were personable, just how I like people. It made it even more enjoyable. The appetizers and beverages just added to the occassion. I would definitely recommend to others and would partake in the activity again in the future. Thanks for wonderful ending to a spectacular weekend!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our boat tour on Lake Tahoe. Our hosts were very welcoming, friendly and informative, and the scenery was absolutely beautiful! Would do it again!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this mellow way to enjoy Lake Tahoe. The snacks were delicious and went well with the choice of beverages -- which included micro-brewed beer! A minor issue: It's not exactly a sunset cruise; we were back on the dock before the sun actually set, perhaps for safety reasons. Nevertheless, we enthusiastically recommend. Have fun on the lake and reduce your carbon-footprint.

The sail cruise at Northshore Tahoe was recommended to us by out of state relatives, so we decided to check it our ourselves. We went over Labor Day weekend and lucked into some windy weather, exciting! The sunset cruise was a nice way to go because it included drinks, beer, wine, soda, ect. and yummy appetizers. The crew and office staff were all very welcoming and hospitable (especially "Fro"). Highly recommend it for a great scenic adventure, well worth the price.

The day was wonderful (20 knot winds, blue skies, warm temperature). The office help was friendly, the skipper and crew were great, the boat was in great shape, and we had a great time.

My wife and I had a great time on the Tahoe Cruz. The weather was just right (No jacket required) and the Jimmy Buffet island style music in the backgroud set the tone. Beverages and appetizers were abundant , but best of all were the 360 degree views and the sunset towards the end. Needless to say we took many pictures to keep these memories. The Captain is a local and very knowledgeable about the lake, sailing and traveling south of the boarder. Well worth the money and we plan to sail again. Thanks again! Greg & Traci Conway, AR

Sailing on Lake Tahoe was wonderful. Weather was great and folks on the boat were wonderful. Free beer, wine and soda==as much as you wanted. Only draw back, if you want to see or go into the bays around the lake you don't sail there. Otherwise it was a beautiful trip and you can say you were on Lake Tahoe.
