Staff was excellent ... The Segway was easy to operate. In 5 minutes the staff had us trained and feeling good about the tour we were about to take. Fun, informative and well worth the price paid...

Fantastic!

We were two couples, one retired, the other still working. One couple relatively new to the city, the other from out of town. We were thrilled with the Segue experience and learned a bit about Raleigh at the same time. None of us had ever been on a Segue before and we all came away wanting to buy one. It's great fun and very easy to learn.

Loved the segway experience and the tour. My wife and I just did the 45 minute tour because we were not sure what to expect. But we loved it so much that we are talking about doing the 2 hour tour. Also, we now plan to look up segway tours in other cities when traveling. Excellent value and a lot of fun. The historical narrative our guides provided added a lot to the tour. I would recommend this to everyone.

We absolutely loved what ended up being a private tour by Bruce and would highly recommend it to most anyone. This was our intro to Raleigh that started a great weekend in downtown Raleigh; it made the entire weekend even better by knowing more about the city. Thanks!

Easy to ride

The wife and I wanted to do something different and entertaining with some out of town friends of ours that were making their first visit to the Raleigh area. The Segway tour was a real treat. The units are fun and easy to ride, all the while getting some interesting information about the states capital. As easy as these things are to ride, I would recommend to virtually anyone betwen the ages of 16 and 60.

This was my first time on a Segway and it only took a few minutes to get the hang of operating it. After about 5 minutes you stopped thinking about the Segway and just enjoyed the tour. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. A great way to see Raleigh.

Come for the Segway, Stay for the Tour

My wife and I took this tour with a friend who came into town a few weeks ago. We had never ridden a Segway so it seemed like it would at least be a novel experience. There's no doubt about it, the Segway itself is a ton of fun. However, the friendly and knowledgeable guides are what made the tour such a great time. A few weeks later, my parents were visiting and I didn't think twice about taking them on the same tour. What a fun way to see the city. You get to cover more ground than if it was a walking tour, and it's a much more personal tour than if we were all just riding in a bus.

Enjoy learning about your city on a Segway Tour
Sat, Aug 29  1:00 PM rojito Male Unspecified Local Family Without Children
Learning to ride a Segway in standing position and then actually riding it on the streets of your downtown while hearing the history of the buildings and places you pass is trememdous fun. The leader is very knowledgeable, and each person on the tour can hear the leader through an audio hookup that allows you to get every word as you travel along noisy sidewalks and cross busy streets. Before you begin the tour, the personnel at the office/store make sure you get comfortable riding the Segway before they allow you out the door. It takes about fifteen minutes to get the hang of it, and then you feel that you and the Segway are one, that the Segway is an extension of your body. Once out the door, you are led to a parking lot where you get even more practice. Then you are ready for the real thing. Even though you travel on city sidewalks and cross downtown streets, you are very well looked after. Not only is there the leader at the front, but there is also a second Segway company person at the rear keeping his or her eye on you as you navigate across streets and maneuver through and around tight and bumpy places, making sure that you are safe and sound. This attention to security frees you enjoy the ride even more. You can pay closer attention to the interesting and humorous comments the leader is sharing, and you can spend the time necessary to observe and appreciate the city's historical landmarks, interesting layout, and unique architecture. All the while gliding along or pausing on a two-wheeler in perfect balance.
