Great Sunday morning activity
Sun, Aug 24, 08   11:00 AM sholmes Unspecified 40-49 Local Family With Children
A quiet Sunday morning is a great time for Segwaying around downtown Raleigh. Our tour guide provided a very safe environment for maneuvering around the neighborhoods and he was very informative. My family has been living in Raleigh for three years and we learned so much about the history of the city and those who lived here. It took me ten minutes to feel comfortable on the Segway and the guide provides enough opportunities to move around before getting into the tour. We had such a good time and learned so much we will look for other Segway tours in other cities we visit. My teenage son thought it was enjoyable and "really fun, I'm glad we went." It can be difficult to find engaging activities for families with teenagers - this is a good one! After the tour we enjoyed a nice lunch in the area. We highly recommend this activity.

We were two couples, one retired, the other still working. One couple relatively new to the city, the other from out of town. We were thrilled with the Segue experience and learned a bit about Raleigh at the same time. None of us had ever been on a Segue before and we all came away wanting to buy one. It's great fun and very easy to learn.

The tour was well organized and very informative. The best part was you learned history while having fun cruising the streets of Raleigh on a Segway. Have already recommended to several friends.

My husband and I had previously done a Segway tour so we had a little experience, but none is really necessary. We had adequate training, and the guided tour was fabulous. We enjoyed hearing all about Raleigh and particularly enjoyed the tour of Oakbrook and the cemetary. Would recommend this to all ages.

This is the third time my wife and I have done this activity this summer. Once with our adult children and families; once with out-of-state visitors; and once with in-state visitors. In all instances the tour was thoroughly enjoyed but for repeat users like ourselves, we would like a chance to have something different. The last time the tour was slightly different. The time is about right from a physical standpoint. The Segway operators of the tour are very helpful and friendly.

Adventure in learning

My daughter was visiting us in Greenville from out of state and we were looking for a tour of Raleigh when we saw the segway ad in the newspaper. It was an adventure just to learn to operate the segway and the tour guide and company were accomodating and knowledgeable. I plan to take a group from Greenville on my next segway outing. We took the 45 min. tour and look forward to trying the 2 1/2 hr. tour next time. Great fun!

We have a great time on this tour! My husband and I were visiting Raleigh to check out the area thinking that we may want to relocate. The tour was a blast! I am one of the most uncoordinated people ever and I had no problems whatsoever on the Segway. Like everyone else in the tour group, I was a little unsteady at first, but within a few minutes I was totally comfortable riding the Segway. The tour guide took us to great locations and had wonderful information for us. I love history and the information provided on the tour did not disappoint us. Overall, it was great fun. When we go back, we are tempted to take the tour again!

Lots of fun and good way to learn about the city

I recently moved to the area and when family came to visit we thought this sounded like fun. I was a little nervous at first about riding a segway but it was easy and they were really good at making you feel comfortable on them. Overall this was a fun way to get around the city, learn a little about the history of the town and just spend a nice time with the family.

The tour guide was SO knowledgable! The segways are easy to use and very fun. I was also impressed to find out that the tours are done year round! When my dad comes into town from New York for a visit, I am definately taking him and my step mom on the segway tour. There is nothing like it!

From the moment I talked to the Zerve person who handled my reservation/payment to the end of the tour itself, I was treated with friendly consideration. My group consisted of my husband and myself, my husband's brother and adult nephew from outside Seattle in Washington State. My husband's brother had been here twice before, each time with one of his other adult children. We took them to places like the Tobacco Museum since they were not familiar with North Carolina. In trying to find something different this time but still about historical North Carolina, I found this unusual tour online. None of us had ever been on a Segway but I had seen one on Mythbusters and wanted to try it so this was a golden opportunity. It was Sunday so traffic was very light and we were able to park right in front of the store. We had the quick Segway training and then went on the tour. There were probably 15-20 in the group. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and presented it in an interesting and humorous manner. We were accompanied by two other guides who helped us in crossing streets. One took pictures for us of the four of us on the Segways to send to our friends and family. The 45 minute tour was just right for the first time on a Segway. The weather was beautiful. We all had a great time and I highly recommend this tour. Thank you!

Great way to tour Raleigh

The Segway tour of Raleigh was a blast! After an initial learning curve on using the Segway, we all relaxed and had so much fun. It was like being a kid again and learning to ride a bicycle for the first time without training wheels. The tour guides were extremely nice and knowledgeable. I learned a lot about the history of Raleigh. The next time I'm visiting Raleigh, I will do this again.

We had a blast. The Segway was a little challenging at first, but after 5 minutes it was easier than riding a bike. The tour was facinating as well. Lot's of history to discover in Raleigh. As a recent transplant, my girlfriend and I learned alot. Highly recommended.

We had a great time on the 45-minute tour. Looking forward to doing the 2-hour tour another time. The Segways were very easy to learn to use, and the planning/execution of the tour was outstanding. Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. Thanks to Triangle Segway for a great experience.
