I made a tour with 2 friends from Germany. It was the first time for them on a Segway and they enjoyed it so much. It was only fun but also a lot of interesting details about the history of Raleigh and we were able to see the nicest places and buildings and got a lot of great stories about it. I can only say: 100 points (out of 100)! Everybody should try it. Even people who live here for long. I am sure they will learn a lot new things about Raleigh and see corners where they have never been before. Thanks to that excellent and motivated Segway Triangle Team! Regards Gisela

What a great experience. The segway itself provided a fun, interactive way to get a guided tour of Raleigh. The guides were knowledgeable, fun, the vistas great and the segway was a blast! We all enjoyed the experience immensely.

The tour guide provided great history about Raleigh and added some flare and colorful information to the tour. We felt very safe and had loads of fun. While two hours goes by fast I felt like we got some exercise while having fun learning about the Raleigh area. #10 on a scale of 1-10; we will do it again. Worth every penny of the $60 we paid.

What a great time! My wife was pretty apprehensive at first about learning how to ride a segway but with the relaxed one-on-one training and tips given by the friendly and knowledgeable staff she was comfortable with the segway in just a few minutes and then off we went on the Historic Oakwood tour. Within just a few blocks the maneuvering of the segway became so natural that we could actually really enjoy the very interesting tour led and wittily narrated by Bruce, whose extensive knowledge of the history and trivia of that area made the tour a truly enjoyable learning experience. Each rider is given a portable headphone listening device over which Bruce gave the tour and any safety alerts. The tour winds down sidewalks, thru parks, across intersections and even right on some of the quieter city streets, but with Bruce leading and Matt and Jeff keeping an eye on our group and carefully handling the traffic details we all felt that our safety was extremely secure at all times. My family agreed that we all enjoyed the Oakwood Cemetery part of the tour the best. It is so quiet and beautiful with so many interesting things.........and the place to have the most fun on a segway! Thanks to all the pleasant staff at Triangle Segway........and just so you know, the first words out of my initially apprehensive wife's mouth when we got into our car after the tour was "We have to do that again!" We all agreed.

Great Tour, Segway's Are a Blast To Ride

We decided to do the Segway tour when my father was in town for the Labor Day Weekend. We decided to take the two hour tour. The day began with a tutorial about the Segway and the people running the business wanted to ensure you knew how to ride the Segway prior to going into public. Everyone practiced in the store prior to going into the street. The tour was great and we got to see parts of Raleigh we did not even know existed! The tour guide was great and did not spend too much or too little time at each place. Yougte plenty of breaks so you are not on the Segway for the entire two hours. I would highly recommend this to anyone!

This was an outstanding tour. The Segway was a lot of fun and the staff made sure everyone was well trained before we set out on the tour. I have to say the highlight of the tour was our guides. Bruce was outstanding and Anaka was an outstanding assistant! He was very knowledgable of the area and had a lot of actual information to share with our group. I have already told several people about the tour and have recommended it to everyone.

Enjoy learning about your city on a Segway Tour
Sat, Aug 29  1:00 PM rojito Male Unspecified Local Family Without Children
Learning to ride a Segway in standing position and then actually riding it on the streets of your downtown while hearing the history of the buildings and places you pass is trememdous fun. The leader is very knowledgeable, and each person on the tour can hear the leader through an audio hookup that allows you to get every word as you travel along noisy sidewalks and cross busy streets. Before you begin the tour, the personnel at the office/store make sure you get comfortable riding the Segway before they allow you out the door. It takes about fifteen minutes to get the hang of it, and then you feel that you and the Segway are one, that the Segway is an extension of your body. Once out the door, you are led to a parking lot where you get even more practice. Then you are ready for the real thing. Even though you travel on city sidewalks and cross downtown streets, you are very well looked after. Not only is there the leader at the front, but there is also a second Segway company person at the rear keeping his or her eye on you as you navigate across streets and maneuver through and around tight and bumpy places, making sure that you are safe and sound. This attention to security frees you enjoy the ride even more. You can pay closer attention to the interesting and humorous comments the leader is sharing, and you can spend the time necessary to observe and appreciate the city's historical landmarks, interesting layout, and unique architecture. All the while gliding along or pausing on a two-wheeler in perfect balance.

Excellent Tour and Professional Service

We had a great time with the TriSegway crew. They provided a very professional introduction to the Segway's and had us comfortably trained before venturing out on the tour. Once on the tour, our guide did a great job of explaining the history surrounding various parts of Raleigh. Excellent in all respects!
