Riding a Segway for the first time was a real blast. Learning lots of interesting facts about the city from our tour guide was icing on the cake,

Enjoyable activity

I enjoyed the the tour around Raleigh. The segway is a different type of activity which makes it fun. I would buy the segway if the price were cheaper. The price range is too high for something that you can not sit down on and only goes 24 miles before it need to be recharged.

6 thumbs up!

Three of us took the one hour tour, so that's your six thumbs. We had a perfect day weather wise, and the sidewalks we rode on were not overly busy. The introductory lesson was thorough, and long enough to give each of us confidence to ride the Segways. The tour was guided by three Segway riding staff members, and it was so well run that it was clear this company has figured out everything needed to give the best experience possible. They even went so far as to explain what to do about the discomfort you'll feel in your feet from standing on them for the duration of the tour. We're hoping to do this again!!!

Couldn't be better

The tour was fun, safe and informative. I've lived in Raleigh for 27 years but have never seen some of the places we toured - I was particularly impressed with Oakwood Cemetery. The tour should be required of all new Raleigh arrivees. Bruce was a fabulous tour guide - extremely well informed and personable. The segway was easy to get the hang of, and the transition from learning in the store to practicing in the parking lot before beginning the tour was perfect. Traffic was never a problem and I always felt safe. One woman on our tour fell a couple of times, not because the segway was difficult to handle: she was an idiot who kept running up on curbs because she wasn't paying attention. I plan to do it again with the next time I have visitors.

Good opportunity to try a Segway.

I wanted to try riding a Segway, and found this tour opportunity through a link within the Segway website. This tour of eastern Raleigh provides an opportunity to learn how to operate the Segway. You then get to spend two hours riding around Raleigh on a guided tour, which allow you to experience how the Segway operates on different terain and around various obstacles. The tour operators provided radio receivers which allowed each of us to hear the tour leader as he narrated the tour and directed us. The tour guide led us and his assistant followed at the back of our line, so they could look our for hazards, traffic, and for us. I was surprised at how much that we saw were areas that I have never seen before, even though I have been in the area many times. I feel that the tour is an excellent value.

2nd time was just as good as the 1st time

We loved it so much the first time we did it as a couple that we brought our 16 year old son out to experience it as well. The historical facts combined with the fun of riding on a Segway made the experience very enjoyable for him. Lots of history in Raleigh that one wouldn't know about without doing their tour. Great job guys. :)

A magic carpet ride!

You're not really there for the tour (it's forgetable, trust me) but the magic carpet ride with your Segway. 1 hour is more than enough, your legs will feel really fatigued after so consider this vs. the 2-hour tour.

The best $60 I have spent in a long time!!

The Segway tour of Raleigh was a blast. Todd is great, and extremely knowledgeable about the area. I am a local who worked in downtown Raleigh for years, and learned so much on the tour! The segways are easy to operate and really just too much fun. The two hours flew by, and I have to say was the highlight of our weekend. TAKE THE TOUR!!!

This was an informative and interesting tour of Raleigh. The Segways were easy to use (after excellent tuition). We were chaperoned by three members of staff who all worked hard to make sure that everything went smoothly. I would definitely recommend this method of site seeing - great fun. I am booking the 2 hour tour on my next visit to Raleigh.

Great fun!

Our group took the 2 hour tour. Our ages ranged from 25 to 60, and every single one of us enthusiastically recommends this tour! The segway instruction was great and I learned lots of new information about Raleigh on the tour, despite the fact that I am FROM Raleigh and thought I knew a lot! Thanks for a great time!

I would do it again in a minute!

Riding a segway was something I wanted to do from the first time I ever saw one, it was definitely on my "bucket list",and now I have finally gotten to ride one. Bruce our guide was very knowlegable and fun and made sure we all got through the tour safely. The folks at the shop were great and we didn't feel rushed while we were getting our segway bearings. Even if you have toured Raleigh before, there is nothing like the 2 hour segway tour. Well worth the money. I would do this again so I would definitely recommend it.

Fun experience and a new way to tour Raleigh
Mon, May 25  11:00 AM JodyProbert Female 40-49 Local Family Without Children
Overall, we very much enjoyed our Segway tour of Raleigh. The tour guides & instructor were very patient, knowledgeable and friendly. It's unfortunate some of the tour route is under construction at this time (Fayetteville Street area) - would of loved to have seen some more historical sights on the one hour tour, rather than goverment buildings. Possible having a choice of routes in the future.

Loads of fun

Intimidating at first it only takes a few minutes to get used to the Segway. Guides were excellent in making sure everyone felt comfortable before heading out on our tour. Sound system was very good and we could hear everything. Three guides continually gave advice and instruction to keep the group flowing. I enjoyed the segway more than the actual tour. If I wanted to learn more about the town, I'd probably take a bus tour. I was concentrating so hard on the segway, I missed a lot of the tour.
