With years of experience at his family's Parisian resturant, Ros opened Meli Melo ten years ago and is considered one of the most creative and innovative chefs in the business.

Activity Description
Our restaurant tours take you on a culinary adventure you'll never forget, as you savor authentic New York cuisine and much more!
To begin, you'll be escorted on a 20 to 30 minute, exclusive behind the scenes tour of areas of the restaurant normally off-limits to other guests. From there you'll meet the chef and see how he, or she, prepares world-class cuisine using the freshest ingredients. Finally, meet and greet the staff and experience a private cooking demonstration.
The balance of your experience, between 1.5 and 2.0 hours, is spent dining from the following menus:
MENU A
- Appetizers: tomatoes with fresh mozzarella, onion tarte, grilled portobello mushroom
- Entrees: chicken scallopini with steamed spinach, Atlantic salmon steak, or Parisian grilled hanger steak with grained mustard
- Dessert: white and dark chocolate mousse cake, or apple tarte maison, with coffee or tea
MENU B
- Appetizers: terrine of foie gras, crab cakes, pate du chef, onion tarte, grilled portobello mushroom, salad d'endive
- Intermezzo: brandade
- Entrees: chicken scallopini, Atlantic salmon steak, charcoal grilled swordfish, lamb with cous cou, mignonette of beef, of fresh pasta
- Desserts: your choice of two desserts with coffee or tea
Meals also include surprise tastings prepared especially for We Ate New York guests!
Anyone on this tour will really learn a lot about the restaurant business from Ros, the owner and executive chef. Come hungry and expect to be wined, dined, and pampered New York City style!
What Is Not Included?
You will be able to order a variety of beverages during your meal, which are not included in the tour price.
