Wok Wiz Daily Tour

I thought this was going to be a "food tour". Instead, it was a very interesting tour of Chinatown, with a delicious lunch at the end. Not bad - but not what I was expecting. I was expecting multiple eating stops.

This tour was so much more than a walking tour. Our tour guide Dorothy brought Chinatown past and present to life with her insightful commentary and familiarity with local businesses. I also loved that she taught us Chinese phrases and made us practice on local shopkeepers. Last but not least, the lunch was delicious!

Alberta was our tour leader and she was great. I haven't stopped talking about this tour since I have been home. The tour was truly unique and unlike anything I have ever done before. Alberta was terrific, she had a relationship with all of the shops and was very clear with us about what the agenda was going to be and how it was going to work. I highly recommend this tour.

This tour was a lot of fun, and we learned a lot too. it was well organized, and the leisurely pace was perfect. Our guide was well informed, friendly, and enthusiastic. It was also easy to hear her. We plan on taking other freinds on this tour when they come out here for vacation.

Our guide Lola was animated and knowledgeable. "Saving" the tea demo until right before the dim sum lunch was not the best order. The temple stop seemed a bit contrived; not the major Buddhist Temple in Chinatown. Lunch was good, but a bit pricey at $12 over the tour price alone. We truly enjoyed this experience: a blend of history and culture. Personal stories of the tour leader were delightful and informative. Especially enjoyed the Tea Tasting and the Dim Sum!

I highly recommend the tour. It was very informative, it was fun and interesting. I would recommend anyone going to San Francisco go on this tour. I also enjoyed the lunch following th etour, and to experience the different foods served.

really liked having as a guide someone who actually grew up in Chinatown- understood language and culture- and was able to include that knowledge during the tour. Liked fact that our tour included a variety of shops and locations

the guide was knowledgeable and provided much local color with her own family history as the foundation for an informative and interesting tour that was too short!

Shirley was a fabulous tourguide. She is so knowledgable and enthusiastic! The tea shop, small art gallery, visiting the temple and lunch were all very memorable!
