| I have been on the tour twice. First time was more than 5 years ago. Chinatown has changed much. Our guide was enthusiastic, easy to understand but he seemed to be "on stage". The guides who have grown up in the area can talk more about that experience. He seemed to be quite proud that he had escaped from the area and learned English.
Lunch was good, I had been expecting it to be more dim sum. I could point out the other diners who were experiencing the dim sum lunch. But our lunch was good. But since we were a group of four we were seated by ourselves and not with either guide. He did visit our table once to make sure we were happy and explained the course we were eating.
Remind the guides not to stand in one place for a long time, especially in the sun. |

| Very interesting tour...dim sum lundh was just average. I expected a "real" dim sum meal with many different types of buns. The food was just average, I would not return to that restaurant. Time to try another! I would recommend t he tour though! |

| Chuck was our guide, he is funny, friendly and knows his stuff. We had a great time wandering around and learned a lot about San Francisico and China Town's history. We would recommend this tour to friends and family. The length of the tour was perfect for us and lunch was lovely. The food was very good, we toured and dined with people from all over the country and a family from Australia. All and all a great way to spend the morning and early afternoon. |

| We live locally and visit Chinatown at least once a year.
I decided to do the tour to see if we would learn more of the history.
We did.
I was worried about the lunch not being good as their are so many restaurants.
It was excellent . |

| Ne ho! We had a thoroughly enjoyable time with Dorothy as our guide; a sweet woman whose knowledge of the area made the walk very worthwile, always keeping our interests up, and maintaining a personal contact with each member of the tour group. Highly recommended. Great food at the end! |

| The tour guide was very knowledgeable and it was a great tour. We ate lunch at a restaurant and it was the best Chinese I've had. I had food there that I have disliked other times I tried it, but it was great there.
Highly recommended. |

| Alberta, our Wok Wiz guide, was a gem. She was brought up in Chinatown where she lived until her marriage and was enthusiastically informative and entertaining. My wife loved the way she described recipes and cooking techniques throughout the tour. One of the highlights was the Red Blossom Tea Company, a family run business on Grant, where we were introduced to the best brewing techniques. We also really enjoyed the surprisingly chinsy Taoist temple. After the two hours walking tour, we then moved to the Four Seas Restaurant. We were just expecting a few dim sum. It was not a lavish meal but more than met our expectations and was accompanied by two different teas provided courtesy of Red Blossom. Overall, we strongly recommend this tour. |

| My friend recommended this walking tour to me and I have to say she was right on. The guides were very friendly and knowledgable. We learned more about Chinatown than your average bus tour would provide. The walk was not strenuous. It was nice to end the tour with a dim sum meal. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to do something a little different in San Francisco. |

| We breathlessly arrived with 2 minutes to spare and Shirley welcomed us with a big smile! The tour lived up to the LA Times article that convinced me to book Wok Wiz for our Chinatown tour. I come from a German/Irish farm family in the midwest. I was moved by Shirley's description of the Chinese immigration to the United States. Although our ancestors dealt with persecution in Europe, they were given a clean slate when they settled in northern Illinois. She described her family's struggles and triumphs eloquently while still managing to get a laugh from the group. I'm sure my daughter (and my Mom and I) will always remember our time with Shirley in the authentic Chinatown. We'll watch for her on the Food Network and Travel Channel! |
