What a great experience! I've been to China Town three times on previous visits to SF and had no idea about the depth and history of the area that I learned about on the tour. The guide was knowledgable, friendly, and outgoing. I strongly recommend this tour for first time and repeat visitors alike. |

Alberta was a fantastic guide. She made sure we all stayed together, could hear her and got all our questions or shopping needs met. We learned a lot about the area (since she grew up here) and she was always trying to share the interesting not just the touristy aspects of the area. Well worth the money. Lunch was delicious, the tea was an education and we loved the samples at the fortune cookie factory. We would definitely recommend this to everyone. We had three children on the tour (from another family) and they got to go to the kite store while the adults enjoyed the talk on tea. Great tour!! |

Our guide, Alberta, was terrific - a second generation Chinese resident of San Francisco. Besides giving us an excellent tour of Chinatown she provided us with information on Chinese customs. Many of her examples of these customs were drawn from her own life. I had walked through Chinatown on a previous visit to San Francisco but didn't gain much from that experience as I only looked - didn't learn about Chinatown as I did with the Wok Wiz tour. Lunch was delicious and gave us a chance to try foods from dim sum to a Chinese "Krispy Kreme donut" for dessert.
I was very impressed with the tea shop we visited and returned after the tour to purchase some tea.
It was a great tour and was made more special by the enthusiasm and knowledge of our guide, Alberta. While we visited the tea shop, Alberta took the 3 children on the tour to a nearby kite shop which she knew would be more interesting for them. I'd definitely recommend this tour to any of my friends who go to San Francisco. |

Being a second generation chinatown resident, Alberta gave us an insight we would never have gotten anywhere else. I would recomend this tour to anyone who is looking for something interesting and different to do. The diversity of our tour group added to the over all expericnce.
Thanks again. |

My husband and I recently took our grandson to San Francisco for the first time. He loves history and we wanted him to see the city from a historical perspective whenever possible. Our tour through Chinatown with Hank gave him that perspective, since Hank grew up in Chinatown. We loved the walks through different alleys and seeing through Hank's eyes how things have changed over the decades, though in essence, Chinatown remains the same. I can highly recommend this tour, especially for people with Children, since it allows the whole family to become more than just "tourists." |

We enjoyed the tour given by Dorothy. Being from the area she was able to give us a history as well as relate some of her first hand experiences. We enjoyed meeting several of her shop owner friends. |

Our guide grew up in Chinatown, so she could provide interesting insights into life there over the years. Our group was about 18 people, which was too many. The dim sum lunch was not very good. Next time I'd try the City Guides tour, which is free. |

We enjoyed the tour and found it much more enjoyable and informative than just wandering around on our own. Our 9 year old son enjoyed it also. Our tour leader was fun and interesting; our only caution is that she talked a little too long sometimes when she would stop us to explain or point out something. The two hour length and then lunch was just right for us. |
