During our first trip to San Francisco we were made aware of the "Wok Wiz " walking tour of China town but opted not to take part. Some friends of ours raved about the tour, so on this trip we we made it a priority. We would give the tour an A+ for being informative and entertaining. Our guide sincerely endeavored to make the experience special for each member and she was successful. We will always have a special place in our hearts for China Town because of our tour experience.
Thank-you "Wok Wiz" for the great experience. |

The Wok Wiz tour was extremely informative. The tour guide was born and raised in China Town, so she was able to give us a real insiders perspective of a different culture.
At the end of the tour we had dim sum at a Chinese restaraunt. The food was fabulous. |

The walk through Chinatown was interesting. I liked visiting the square where the older chinese men hang out, the fortune cookie factory, the tea shop (especially the tasting,) the taosist temple and a couple of the food markets. I thought that perhaps there was too much time in too many markets learning about the various vegetables. I would have rather had more history about chinatown itself but it was definitely a great part of our SF visit and would recommend it to others. The dim sum lunch was GREAT, and a ton of food! |

Lola, our leader, was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Our small group got along well. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in a short tour of San Francisco's Chinatown. |

The Wok Wiz tour served my husband and I as a good way to get to know Chinatown and helped us to feel comfortable to explore more on our own. Our tour guide was very friendly and informative, although his topics of discussion often went off on unrelated tangents. After our tour, we spend a lot more time in Chinatown and thouroughly enjoyed the experience. |

The Wok Wiz tour was great. We got to see so many aspects of Chinatown that we would have never found on our own. Our guide was Hank and he was fabulous. The Buddhist temple was beautiful. And lunch, quite simply, was the best Chinese I've had in years. Hank was even nice enough to take us to the Tea Shop after lunch, even though the tour was over (we had missed it earlier due to time). All, in all, a great tour. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get to the shop, as it can be tricky to find, especially if you are walking from a cable car stop. |

We so seldom take tours of what is in our own back yard. I've walked Chinatown many times over the years, but taking a tour and hearing all the stories and history gave me an understanding and insight to the area I'd never had before. Commentary was witty and personal which was a nice touch.
The stop at the tea shop and lunch complemented the excursion and all provided a wonderful insight to a world beyond what the casual tourist sees. |

Our tour guide, Chuck, did a marvelous job of telling us about how Chinese came to San Francisco and Chinese culture. He included his own experiences and had a delightful way of sharing. The meal at the end of the tour was excellent. |

I used to live near San Francisco, and thought I knew China Town. But that was just the main streets. The side alleys and colorful sites we visited were a revelation. Besides being very knowledgable, our guide, Chuck, was a hoot ! |
