I would highly recommend this tour if you plan to spend some time in Chinatown. Our tour guide Alberta grew up in this area so she was very knowledgeable of the area and had a great sense of humor as well. The walking tour was very comfortable and not tiring at all. The dim sum lunch at the end was very delicious as well. We returned to the Chinatown area a day after our tour and because of the tour the previous day, I knew exactly where to go (on what street, etc.) to find the things that I was looking for. |

I enjoyed experiencing the culture of Chinatown. It came alive through our guide. It made the experience of Chinatown human and not just buildings and crowds. I enjoyed learning customs both old and still evolving. My only disappointment was the meal at the end. I would have liked to have understood more about the carts and maybe have been able to choose some of the selections. There seemed to be some confusion about our arrival and again we were in a back corner. I would have liked to have been where I could have seen more of what was going on and what people were choosing.
Alberta did a wonderful job of explaining the real Chinatown, it's people.

So much history would have been missed without our knowledgeable tour guide to take the time to stop and explain every nuance of Chinatown. Around every corner was a story from her past and her views of the future. Visiting the Temple, the markets, the tea shops and the Pharmacy were truely enlightening and gave you a sense of how the community copes with everyday life. Lunch was very good. Tried new things recommended by our host, she also gave the history about the food we ate. Would do this tour again and highly recommend it to others who are going to San Francisco for a visit. |

Our guide, Bernice, provided a great insiders tour of San Francisco's historic Chinatown. Her personal knowledge and pleasant demeanor made the tour a special part of our visit to San Francisco. And the Dim Sum lunch was the best Chinese food I've ever had!! |

Our guide was very friendly and easy to understand. It was a wonderful way to experience Chinatown through this tour, and with the dim-sum lunch. |

We had a wonderful time on the tour. Our tour guide, Alberta, was born and raised in Chinatown so she not only knew the area and its history but also was able to share personal stories that made the tour more meaningful. She also had a good sense of humor and was able to engage all of us, including my two grade-school aged kids. In three hours, we got a very thorough overview of the area, with recommendations of which stores to shop in later, a tour of a Taoist temple, a forturne cookie factory and a tea tasting. We loved going through the busy produce and butcher markets on Stockton Street with our guide. She explained what everything was and how it is used. We enjoyed the lunch but would have preferred a more traditional Dim Sum experience instead of a preset menu that was not all dumplings. We felt so comfortable and connected to Chinatown after our tour that we went back the next morning to buy produce!! |

We enjoyed Alberta, our guide to Chinatown. She shared her experiences growing up in the area and took us to and past places we certainly wouldn't have gone to on our own through alleys and up and down bustling streets. Alberta provided us the flavor of San Francisco's Chinatown, something we enjoyed very much. We ended the tour with a light dim sum lunch in a restaurant packed with the local Chinatown population, always a good sign that the food there is the real thing. She was right about the sweet plums and that one bakery having THE best custard tarts! We'll be able to return to Chinatown with a little more smarts than before. Thank you Alberta and Wok Wiz. We will be recommending this tour to our friends and family. |

this tour was underwhelming. more information to be had in a guidebook. lunch was good, but didn't need a tour guide to point out a spring roll. disappointing. |

We really enjoyed the tour, the food was good and overall it was an excellent value. We both grew up in the Bay Area and we learned a lot on this tour. I especially liked the fact that the tour was given by an older woman who knew her subject and not some cute young person who just repeated a set script.
Thanks! |

Our tour leader, Bernice, not only showed us the sights of Chinatown, but also gave interesting information on how it was to be raised in Chinatown and explained the different Chinese cultures. Climbing all those stairs to see the Temple was oh, so worth the climb.
Bernice made the tour fun and educational. The Dim Sum lunch at The Four Seas Restaurant was delicous and the restaurant itself was beautiful.
After the tour, Bernice took the time to take some of us who were interested to a tea shop where we learned the differences in teas and got to taste what those differences were.
Our tour companions came from England, Georgia, and Northern California, and it was fun being with such a diverse group.
Meeting Shirley Fong-Torres was the highlight of the tour!
Thank you so much for an educational and highly enjoyable tour.
