We had a WokWiz tour with Chuck Gee. He was funny, interesting and really knew the answer to all questions asked. We really enjoyed ChinaTown and its strong history and wonderful business people that allowed us to see their day to day business. The restaurant served a variety of foods for us to eat of excellent quality.
I wish we could have had our own itinerary for later use. It would have been much easier to retrace our steps and return to some of the businesses for purchases. We were asked to share because of a short supply. That is the only negative.
It was such a great tour we would love to go on another offered tour by this group. |

We really enjoyed our tour of Chinatown. Our tour guide gave us a lot of insight that we never could have figured out on our own, just by walking around the area ourselves. The lunch was really good too! |

This tour was a great introduction to Chinatown! The tour guide was a native Chinatown resident. She shared interesting stories of her childhood life in Chinatown that were sometimes funny, sometimes serious, and always interesting. The tour was an easy walk with many stops in the non-tourist areas and the dim sum lunch at the end was delicious and filling. |

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the morning tour. My daughter was not sure why we needed a tour through China Town but was so glad we chose this tour. Loved all of the recommendations that were made on our tour-- from the tea tasting to our fabuolous dim sun lunch. Thank you so much for making a memorable tour. Kim and Allison |

It was great to have a tour guide who had grown up in Chinatown...very informative and educational, plus we loved walking through the markets and learning about the different vegetables and foods. The lunch afterwards was awesome, too! What fun to share a table with Shirley and try all sorts of different dishes. We will definitely recommend this tour to our friends. |

I was travelling alone in the city and had planned to just wander through Chinatown on my own but thought I'd give the Wok Wiz tour a try. I am very glad I did!! My guide, Hank Quock, was great! I had read other (negative) reviews about a Wok Wiz tour guide (possibly him?) who talked about himself/his family history a lot but I think it really added to my visit to see Chinatown through the lens of someone who had generations of connections with it. On our tour, we visited the fortune cookie shop, a tea company (where we were treated to a brief history of tea and a tasting - very cool & delicious), a temple, and plenty of streetside stops (with historic tidbits) before heading to a delicious, filling meal at a local restaurant. The Autumn Moon Festival was in full swing during our tour and we saw lion dancers and visited some booths. Hank seemed to know everyone (people would stop us in the street just to say hello to him); it felt like I was a part of the party and not just a visitor. I definitely recommend the tour if you are looking to experience Chinatown in a more personal way. |

Our Wok Wiz tour was a great introduction to Chinatown. It was refreshing to get away from the main tourist streets to get a better picture of the life and history of Chinatown. Our guide was very friendly and clearly loved showing off her town. The dimsum lunch was quite good and it was very nice to have the guides stay and circulate among us. We felt like old friends after just a few hours. The length of the tour was about right -- we were left wanting to see more, and in fact my wife stayed the rest of the afternoon and shopped, keeping Chinatown green! Thanks for a fine time. |
