This was our second time taking this tour. We took our first tour with Shirley 20 years ago. This time Alberta was a tour guide. She was great. The tour was informative, easy paced, kept my 10, 14, and 16 year old interested. Alberta grew up in Chinatown so had many family/local history facts and info to pass along. The lunch was great. More than enough to eat.
Would recommend this tour to anyone. You get a real flavor of Chinatown today, and all it's history! |

A tour of China Town ending with Dim Sum sounded a good idea-particularly when the group turned out to be just 7 people. There was a lot that was enjoyable about the tour- including the opportunity to visit some places we may not have gone into including a temple and a medical herb store. We did however seem to spend a long time at individual stops along the way during the 2 hour tour- perhaps it's our age but our attention started to wander after 15 mins at a stop.
We were very fortunate that a lion parade celebration happened outside the restaurant while we were having lunch which added hugely to the enjoyment of the tour- although you might say that it was good fortune that it happened while we were there.
We took some Official free tours while in SF and would say that they were at least as well organized, informative and enjoyable. No major complaints - just didn't feel it was worth the premium of a "professional " tour. |

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The guide was wonderful, the stops we made along the way were interesting--tea shop, fortune cookie factory, meeting spot for locals, shops and produce markets to name a few. We concluded the tour with a delicious dim sum lunch where we sampled many delicious foods. You will not leave this tour hungry!!!!!! |

Our China Town tour with Wok Wiz was most definitely one of our favorite things on our recent (first) visit to San Francisco. Our tour director Dorothy was awesome. She gave us lots of history and information about the area and the people which of course included the beginnings of what is now known as the city of San Francisco. She took us to many shops and introduced us to the merchants. She was lively and enthusiastic and made the experience lots of fun. Our tour ended with a lovely Dim Sum lunch at a beautiful Chinese restaurant on Grant Street. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who has an interest in the area.

The tour was great. From the first greeting to our end meal, this tour was a delight. Dorothy was our guide. She was full of interesting information. She took us on a journey in China Town. I had been there many times, but not like this. the tea was great and the dim sum was delicious. I highly recommend. |

We both absolutely loved this tour! Our guide, Angela, was enthusiastic knowledgeable friendly and had tons of energy and exuberance. We couldn't rate her more highly. We especially loved the taoist temple where our guide explained how to get our fortune read, and helped us bless our good luck tokens. My husband particularly enjoyed the red blossom tea demo, and being talked through all the raw ingredients which are used in Chinese cooking. I loved the recipe suggestions as I've often wondered how to use some of the ingredients I've seen in chinese supermarkets in the UK. We also thought the tour was fantastic value for money and the lunch was delicious - we'll be back! |

This tour was a very interesting insight into San Francisco's Chinatown. Our guide, Chuck, was very knowledgeable and amiable. He shared his information in an amusing way. He had a particularly good historical knowledge and also had a good understanding of the local people and customs. The places we visited on the tour were relevant and related well to the historical information that Chuck gave to us on the tour. I also greatly appreciated the way that none of the vendors that we visited put any pressure on us to purchase from them. I personally mostly enjoyed the visit to the Tea Shop to learn about tea and the different methods and plants that produced tea. A very interesting tour and I would certainly recommend it to others who are interested in learning a little bit of the quirkyness of San Francisco. |

Our tour leader ia also a photographer, which was a delightful spin on our time spent in Chinatown. The visit to the tea importers and the unexpected dining on chicken feet were the highlights. Thanks for a great time. |
