| Thank you so much for the great and informative tour. Now we feel very comfortable going into Chinatown and to go shopping. It was edifying to hear the love of the area expressed, and to see the sites through the eyes of experience. Charming and lovely... A great family memory. |

| Alberta was our guide and she entertained us for 3 hours with tales of Chinatown thru the years. The tour was informative and fun and our meal at the end was quite enjoyable. |

| My husband and I enjoyed our tour of Chinatown. Found it to be very interesting. There's so much to do in SF that after 3 hours we really didn't have much time to shop afterwards, but then shopping was not so much of a priority. The lunch was great. |

| A great walking tour from an articulate Local Chinese resident. The Best tour of Chinatown hands down. Chuck is terrific. He was our favorite tour guide of this trip. (We took about 10 tours)
5 Years ago we took this tour and it was somewhat different. We missed the more robust discussion of Feng Shui and the rough and tumble Barberry Coast highlights. Also, no mention of the exercising in the Park (tai chi?) But this are very minor issues.
As for the lunch, it was lovely but I've had better dim sum. |

| Our guide was raised in Chinatown and was able to bring the history of San Francisco's Chinatown alive for us. I highly recommend this tour, |

| Chuck (the guide) shared a lot of behind the scenes detail as only someone who has lived there can do. And those details raised even more curiosity and questions, and as he was a mine of information, we learned more on that tour than about any other I've taken in a while. Nicely paced tour, we saw a lot, but wasn't overwhelming. The tea tour was very special - well worth your time to observe the differences in making tea British style vs. Chinese. The lunch was amazing - tasty and bountiful. And then with lots of prodding from us, Chuck shared some more of his interesting trail taken through life to arrive at this point. I'm sure he will create great memories for you and your tour.

| Combining Chinese and local history, along with her personal knowledge of every store in Chinatown (Is there anybody she doesn't know?) Shirley delivers a gastronomically and ethnically diverse feast.
She provides personal attention to everyone in the tour and manages to include each member in some special individual experience.
From delicate, rose flavored tea, to pork rinds still on the suckling pig to chicken feet (if you're good) you have no idea what to expect next. We even went to one restaurant where all Shirley said was, "Sam! Start cooking!" and another adventure had begun.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the "real" Chinatown and wants to get to know the area from the inside out.
Other than the ten pounds I probably gained, I can't think of one negative thing about this tour. Come to think of it, I was getting a little thin anyway, so never mind..... |

| Lots of history and good food. Our guide, Ray I believe, was born in China Town -- his knowledge of the local history was amazing. He was delightful and entertaining too. We HIGHLY recommend this great adventure! |
