| Our tour leader, Dorothy, was a long time resident of Chinatown. She was a great storyteller and a fount of information. She related Chinatown's history to San Francisco's overall history as well as to China's ancient and recent history and how all these affected Chinatown's development. Dorothy wove her personal history into the mix for a very entertaining and informative tour. Add to that the wonderful lunch, including dim sum and chop stick instruction and it was a delightful tour. |

| My husband and I really enjoyed visiting Chinatown with our host from Wok Wiz. Alberta was knowlegable regarding the history of the area as well as having many stories from her own experience growing up in Chinatown. She shared her experiences with humor and warmth.
We especially enjoyed visiting Ma-Tau temple. It was fascinating to have such a personal introduction to a culture which is very different from my own. She shared it's many traditions freely.
Alberta kept our group interested and involved. We were able to visit again the following day and to do some shopping. We no longer felt hesitant to walk through the alleys and greet the residents and store keepers. On our return, we greeted friends rather than strangers.
We would strongly encourage anyone with an interest in the area and a bit of adventure and curiosity to attend this tour. This was my second experience with the tour and I have found both to be fun and rewarding. |

| Our guide (Alberta) was excellent and paced the guided walk well.
We especially liked the tea shop that we visited. Seeing all the food stores and having each explained was excellent. We also enjoyed eating the cookies from the fortune cookie factory. We found lots of good quality presents to bring back to the UK at the stores on Grant.
My husband and I have recommended the guided walk to friends of ours who live in San Francisco so that they can recommend it to other people who visit them. |

| My 9 yr old son and I very much enjoyed this tour. Alberta, our guide, was Chinese and related some childhood anticdotes throughout the tour - made it more interesting. I wished that we had gone on this tour earlier in our trip. We spent the afternoon shopping in China Town afterward. This is a GREAT Tour! |

| A tour of China Town ending with Dim Sum sounded a good idea-particularly when the group turned out to be just 7 people. There was a lot that was enjoyable about the tour- including the opportunity to visit some places we may not have gone into including a temple and a medical herb store. We did however seem to spend a long time at individual stops along the way during the 2 hour tour- perhaps it's our age but our attention started to wander after 15 mins at a stop.
We were very fortunate that a lion parade celebration happened outside the restaurant while we were having lunch which added hugely to the enjoyment of the tour- although you might say that it was good fortune that it happened while we were there.
We took some Official free tours while in SF and would say that they were at least as well organized, informative and enjoyable. No major complaints - just didn't feel it was worth the premium of a "professional " tour. |

| I'm 27 and my mother is 58. We both enjoyed this tour! Had the opportunity to take some great pictures, see some fun shops and had a great lunch. I actually felt sorry for the other tourists walking around with confused looks on their faces...and saw more than a couple people that looked like they wanted to join in with our group. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to know about Chinatown, not just wander around blindly. |

| This was my first time in San Francisco and I was happy that I went on this organized tour. The initial meeting place was easy to find and the tour started on time. The guide was very friendly and had many fun facts and stories about her life in San Francisco and China Town. We enjoyed seeing sites like the temple, and the alley with the musician and fortune cookies factory, but the part we liked the most was spending time in the tea shop. We found the young man making us tea the traditional Chinese way and learning about different teas very fascinating. The part we enjoyed the least and would not recommend is the Chinese meal after the tour. It was expensive and not very tasty. |
